  Room was a biohazard

  Both beds smelled of animal urine, dried feces on the floor, and the tv did not work. Will never stay with Motel 6 again.

  Not bad, not great

  The place was clean but very basic. There were doggie stations, but no doggie bags in the holders. We were looking for a place to sleep on our way to deliver furniture from the SF area to the border of Mexico. We learned that basic is not what we want after a long weekend of driving. No more Motel 6 for us!

  Originally made a reservation here. When I showed up the police were also arriving. Many people sitting in cars that looked up to no good. People in the parking lot drinking. I had the worst feeling and left. Called and cancelled.

  It's OK

  The room was clean, it's a quiet area, the WiFi wasn't that great, and there are only 2 narrow strips of dry grass for dogs where irresponsible owners don't pick up after their own dogs.

  Great location

  The Motel 6 was affordable and the manager Juan C. was extremely helpful when our reservation had an issue. We didn’t hear other dogs and our room was pleasant enough. Lazy Dog is minutes away. It’s minutes to Gaslamp and easy to reach Coronado.

  They have some grass for your dog to use. Plus if you have to get up at night the whole parking lot is lit with a security guard.

  Convenient location

  Great location for our purpose. Fido liked the ground floor room (no stairs). Room was comfortable for a short stay. Not a lot of grass for Fido, but enough. Friendly staff.

  Basic Room

  Stayed in a basic room with two beds. Very clean room, nothing fancy but the price was right. The area is out there but it’s in driving distance from downtown.

  Ok for dogs, not good for humans

  Lots of dogs stay here. There’s no extra fee. Lots of poop bags, though there were still piles of poop built up in the rare spots of grass. The hotel is a hot spot for crime, so beware. Rooms aren’t cleaned during your stay, and even then barely clean between. Getting clean towels and sheets was very difficult. Lobby had hot coffee most days.

  Clean, Safe, Dog Friendly

  I stayed here for two weeks with my dog while looking for a place to live after relocating to San Diego for work. I have a lab, who is full of energy. the rooms were spacious for the price, they were clean, it was quiet, priced right. my Uhaul with absolutely all of my belongings was also in this parking lot for the first 4 days and was safe thanks to security. there was plenty of grass for my dog to go to the bathroom in.

  It’s a Motel 6, not the Ritz Carlton. I think people need to set their expectations and be a little more realistic. For hotels at this price this is a great place to stay. if you want to pay more money to stay at a nicer hotel of course you will get better amenities, but you won’t find another hotel at this price that treats you as well and is as clean as this Motel 6.

  Not five stars because even though it’s good for a Motel 6 it’s still a Motel 6…

  Great Location

  Front desk service was less than friendly. There were like 8 police cars and like 12 cops on the premise when we were checking in. All the other patrons seemed pretty worked up. The place didn't feel safe.

  Scary and Filthy

  This is no place for children or pets. Run for your life. It's dangerous.

  The pool was dilapidated and dirty. The pool gate wasn't working correctly.

  There were scary people in the parking lot all night long, smoking pot and yelling. The walls are paper thin and we could hear banging from all angles all night. I spoke to one guest, who bummed a cigarette off of me, who told me the place is used by people on welfare as a temporary flop house.

  There is no place to walk your dog unless you take the dog off the property.

  There's a security guard who treats you like an inmate when you drive in after certain hours. Rude and insulting. Demanding my license and room number. I didn't sign up for this.
