    Unique Setting

We really enjoyed having a private cabin, especially since we were traveling with our dog. The room was spacious and functional. We were annoyed by the noise relating to the heater and also felt the room could have been cleaner. Beds were very comfortable.

    Good location

Two-bedroom chalet was very small but adequate. It was a bit rustic and had a very funky smell. Overall it was an ok place to spend a night with our pooch.

    Not very welcome

I did not realize that I could not leave dog unattended in the room even with a crate. No good areas for taking dogs out for potty breaks. Seems like they were overall annoyed with the fact that I brought a dog. Room was ok and clean, just not a very dog-friendly location.

    Good location

It was a great location to the downtown shops & to catch the ferry to the island. I had requested a cabin but was scheduled in the lodge. The room was nice, except that we could hear EVERY SINGLE step the people upstairs made. It sounded like bowling balls being dropped above us. There was only minimal grassy area for my pup to go to the bathroom & to reach them you had to walk across the entire parking lot to the front of the hotel. We were supposed to stay 3 nights & only stayed 2. I don't think we'd stay here again.

    Nice stay

Super dog friendly, great location, beautiful cabin. We were across the street from the ferries to get to the island. The area is surrounded by trails to walk everything is a short drive or walking distance and plenty of good places where you can go to eat with your dog. Loved our vacation there. Would diffidently go back.

    Disappointing

We thought we booked into a cabin when we reserved it but was into a motel area of the property. We upgraded to a cabin for more money on site. Worst part is you can’t leave the pets alone which defeats the purpose for us.

    Messed up reservation

There was ample grassy space to walk Fido in the back of the property. The night we checked in they had lost our reservation. When they found it, they had placed us in a second story walk up and I’m disabled.. They then gave us a replacement room that was less than acceptable. Bed was broken, bathroom was dirty, and the shower was tiny. But it was late and we spent the night in the substandard room. The next morning I spoke with the manager about our situation. They upgraded us for a small fee to a 2-room cabin. It was great! clean, good condition and comfy bed. We only had a tiny fridge and no microwave but it was acceptable, clean and had plenty of towels! If staying here, I’d do my research and stay in a cabin! The cabins are nice but the motel rooms are minimal at best. We gave 3 bones because we were accounting for upgrade and cabin but first night was less than 1 bone. Be cautious!

    Lovely cabins

Great location. Very pleasant grounds. The cabins are lovely from the outside and ours was lovely inside (as I'm sure they all are). We have two small dogs and our location was perfect to let them do their business. There was grass and some seclusion. Perfect.

    Loved the setup we had

We booked a cabin with king bedroom and loft area bed for 3. It was far larger than typical hotel rooms and very comfortable for our 3 night stay with large dog. It was clean and well appointed. Location was great for the ferry and easily walkable to town. Plenty of grass area, nearby park space and lake beach. Staff was very helpful as needed.

    Not great at all

Firstly, as others have mentioned, the majority of you that book here will not get a cabin. You, like us, will likely end up in the run down apartments behind the cabins. Which there is no mention of in the description of the place and is, I believe, the last picture of many on the listing. Now, the room, which has paneling to resemble a cabin, was musty. There was water dripping from the ceiling from the rain. The bathroom had a deep blue tub and toilet straight out of the 80's. The door needed a shoulder ram to open and looked as though someone had taken a crowbar to it, and the mosquitoes inside were legion.

Alright, it gets way better. So as I sit my weary behind on the toilet after hours of travel in the pouring rain I suddenly hear the furious screeching and scurrying of some terrified wild animal in what sounded like the bathtub. I shriek and leap off the toilet, my dog goes nuts, and my boyfriend, being the brave sort he is, investigates. Can't see anything. Middle of the night: same thing. My dog and I investigate this time and as we warily peer into the tub we again see nothing. I plop my pup onto the bed (where he is not allowed at home, but I don't want him in contact with whatever this is) and listen for a while longer to the insane animal racket and finally decide the animal is inside the walls - or really, the tub surround area, specifically. Likely trapped and freaking out. Obviously, we did NOT shower here and left as soon as we woke up.

The desk clerk was amused. No apologies. And, of course, since I didn't book with them, I didn't bother asking for a refund. STEER CLEAR. Unless you want a night to remember, as we had! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BAYMONT JUST DOWN THE ROAD!

    Great Cabins

Clean. Good place to walk a dog around the cabin despite being surrounded by bigger hotels. Lake access across the street. No breakfast but discounts on restaurants nearby.
