  Clean, good beds, pleasant staff, takes dogs! Well priced for an overnight stay in transit. Minimal amenities.

  Nice quiet night

  Just like any basic Motel 6. Room was clean and quiet. We had a good rest. Just wish that they had a luggage cart.

  We had a small second floor room for 4 pets. It was a little cramped, but pleasant.

  Best Motel 6 I've ever stayed at. Room was spacious, clean, and well equipped. Good area to walk dogs.

  Day staff friendly and accommodating, and a nice outdoor green space for dogs to relieve themselves. Comfy for overnight stay at a good price.

  Nice stay

  Room was nice. Grounds were well taken care of. Nice location and a great price. We travel with our two dogs and constantly get hit with fees. We stay in Barstow on our way to Arizona about 4-6 times per year. Had been staying right down the street at three times the price after $35 per dog fee. Our last stay there was an issue which was poorly handled. Made us look for an alternative. Glad we found this Motel 6.

  Lots of places for the pups to relieve themselves; watered on a regular basis so grass is green and good, even at midnight when I found out, lol! I got in very late.

  Best thing was the coffee!

  I made reservations a good month ahead of time with 2 dogs. The room I was given was not vacated so I waited 2 hours on another room after driving 10 hours. I was told it was ready. I went to the room and no towels. There were 2 bars of soap. I made mention of this to the desk. Housekeeping arrived a bit later with 2 sets of paper thin very dingy towels, hand towels, wash cloths and floor mat. I ended up getting towels of my own. I was setting up my dogs water and food and while I was expecting a light dusting of desert dust; nothing prepared me for what I used one of the towels to wipe up water in the corner of the room. The towel was literally black. This floor in that room was either mopped with filthy water or never mopped so knowing this I placed a huge comforter on top of the bed with out using the bedding.

  I asked for no housekeeping because my dogs would stress out. On my day of check out I took off the comforter and literally took the bed apart so the bedding would hopefully be cleaned. The bedding did not appear it had been recently cleaned. Seems Motel 6 is low on staff 🤔. My one dog refused to do number 2 in the lot next door, covered with trash from clothing, dirty diapers, food and what appears to be hay dumping with animal excrement. The staff seemed overworked, underpaid and slow quitting but polite. The coffee on the other hand was good!

  Quick stop in Barstow

  The Motel 6 appears in have been remodeled recently. It was very clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful by working with our wonky schedule. Because we had dogs they reserved a room on a side where there was less people/car traffic. Plus they didn’t charge a pet fee or limit the size of dogs. We have 2 large dogs so this can make it difficult to find rooms. We would definitely stay here again.

  Great staff

  The staff members we met at the desk were very friendly and helpful. That being said, it is a Motel 6. The room reeked of dog urine and there was broken glass outside, so be careful walking your dog. Overall you get what you pay for.

  Horrible Experience

  I would give this place a negative rating if I could. Our air conditioner was broken and the cold water in the sink was shut off with a wrench so we had to fill our dog’s water bowl from the tub. We attempted to open the window to cool off the room, but smokers and high traffic which disrupted our dogs prevented us from keeping it open. Thank heavens our stay was in the fall and not during summer heat. To top off our stay, we woke up to multiple cockroaches on the walls. There was caution tape around the entrance to the pool. The grass area was the best thing about this motel. It was in a courtyard area around the swimming pool. Unfortunately, it was littered with lots of dog messes despite having doggie bag station.

  Pleasantly surprised!

  Pleasantly surprised! For the price I had very low expectations, however the place was very nice. It was clean and comfortable. I felt safe and people were friendly. Especially nice place to stay if you have a dog.

  Impressed!

  Staff was very courteous. Hotel room was very clean. It had laminated floors, throughout the room, for easy clean up of pets. For just an overnight stay, it was perfect for the price. I wish other Motel 6s had this type of review, and rooms as nice, as I would only use them for my long driving trip.

  Front staff friendly and helpful. Basic room, no frills (coffee maker) shampoo etc. Freeway/truck noise. Good for price.

  Clean, pleasant room. Folks talking in the wee hours in the nearby parking lot wasn't the hotel's fault.

  Disappointed Hooman

  The location is conveniently off the interstate and near fuel as well as food. From the exterior the hotel appears newer. And they do have a small grassy area in back near the pool area for picky pups like mine. Those are the pluses. The rooms are not well insulated so you hear all that highway noise especially the big rigs at the nearby fuel stations. The room was dated/worn looking. And more disappointing was the smoke smell. After a long day of travel with an anxious pup, we both were looking forward to a comfy bed especially when it was 10 at night, but sadly the pillows were tiny and not fluffy. The bed was on the firm side. While ample parking be prepared to walk around to get to your room especially if on an upper floor. And why put a dog on the second floor when you have plenty of ground floor rooms available?

  Had to make a return trip to the office after checking in as my door key did not work. The front desk person was nice but I did not need to know this happens a lot where they have to use the master key first to reprogram the lock. There was no coffee maker in the room or mention from the front desk about any of the hotel amenities available and how to access them- not even a mention of where the dog relief area was on the property. We had to walk around till we stumbled upon it ourselves- again not something I want to do coming off the road late in the evening. The price was good & there is no additional pet fee. A decent place if just passing through but could be better if the property was updated.

  Friendly staff...

  Room was ok, bed comfortable. Toilet was not seated properly and bathroom is showing its age. They do have a grassy area for the dogs, so that was a plus. Unfortunately, people were not picking up after their dogs.

  Only negative was that it was on the second floor, which is weird for pets, and we had a lot of stuff to bring up. There is an elevator, though, so that was helpful. Nice grounds. Close to services and food.

  Just off I-40, easy to locate. Rooms clean and comfortable. Cannot hear highway noise when in the room.
