    Not recommended

    I would highly suggest you not to book this place especially if you are bringing your fur baby. Not only is this place sitting in a weird place of town, near a dispensary and storage place, there is no pet relief area. All we got was a patch of dirt full of glass, possibly from a car break in, and a mulch patch in from by the check-in area.

    Not only that, the room that they will give you has paper thin walls which echoes noises from the hallway, the neighboring rooms and upstairs as well. The room I got sat between the housekeeping area and it was hell! The constant back and forth of staff and also they turned on the washing and drier machine throughout the day.

    My dog was super anxious during the stay so we had to cut the trip short. Again, I had a great experience at the La Quinta in San Luis Obispo, but this was a total waste. Please, please, please reconsider to another place and save your money.

    Good stay

    Great staff and nice rooms. Parking garage was a little lower than normal but my truck made it. Not a lot of pet bathroom spots.

    Funky Entrance, Solid Value

    Although right off the I-5, following GPS instructions to get to the hotel was challenging due to the one-way streets and Freeway on and off ramps. Getting back to the I-5 was much easier. Rooms were clean and surprisingly quiet. The pet relief area was a dirt strip, but it was only a short walk to a grassy area by the In-n-Out Burger. Best of all, it is just a short drive to either the San Diego Dog Beach or the Del Mar Dog Beach. We hit up the Del Mar Dog Beach because that was in the direction of our next destination and our dog, Gunner, had a blast running in the surf and playing with the other pups.

    Decent location

    They did not have any place for my dog to 'relieve' herself. I was able to walk to a patch of grass but it was a bit inconvenient.

    Nice room

    The room had manufactured wood and tile flooring which really helps. While there was no dedicated dog run area, we were able to get the job done in a narrow strip of bark landscaping.

    Leaking Faucet, Clogged Tub & Mystery Clothes

    First, like what someone has mentioned here already there is not much space for a “dog area.” The parking lot was also littered with trash. The carpet in the room smelled like pee. While I was brushing my teeth, I felt water splashing on my leg. The faucet was leaking on the floor. The tub was also slow draining, so water was up to my ankle while showering. When we opened the drawer to put our clothes, we found dirty a shirt and a pair of shorts (possibly from the previous person in that room). Positives: there is a 24-hour restaurant with a drive-thru beside it and Starbucks is walking distance.

    Clean hotel, but there were issues

    Checking in was a breeze, the pet fee was reasonable, but the first night we didn’t have any water. When I asked the front desk they said there had been an accident and that water was off for the entire area until it was fixed. We decided to go to bed and wait until morning to see if it came back. It had not. We had plans, so we left for the day with the promise that it would be turned back on when we got back. One of the guests staying with us would have liked to shower as she had traveled and would be leaving the next day. So for that reason I give it a lower rating.

    15 minutes from Dog Beach

    Hotel is fine but there is very limited outside space on site for dog use. But dog beach is close and it was spectacular fun for my dog and me.

    Clean and friendly staff

    Overall we enjoyed our stay. It was clean and very dog friendly. Comfortable beds. Disappointed the elevator was broken and they ran out of coffee one day. Not huge inconveniences but annoying.

    Nice little hotel by the freeway, location could be better but also a short drive from the beach at a great price. Room was clean and modern, staff was friendly.

    Gross hotel, no grass for dogs

    This hotel was gross. Some sort of spit all over front of sink, homeless people outside, waited for 15 minutes with no one at front desk or lobby to get new keys bc ours didn’t work. Hotel room smelled like there was an invisible chain smoker in the corner. There was no grass area for dogs as advertised. There was the side of the road with asphalt, dirt and cockroaches.

    Great place for all kinds of dogs

    They were wonderful! Our VRBO cancelled on us 3 days before our trip and we were scrambling to find someplace that allowed large dogs. There is no breed restriction, the rooms are large and spacious and they were incredibly accomodating. If we ever travel to San Diego with the dog again, we will definitely be staying here.

    Nice clean hotel

    Very clean and nice hotel, but no area to walk your dog. Just the streets circling the hotel. No grass or even rocky area.

    Decent value for the price

    Room was fairly clean with evidence of managerial neglect. Scratched up door from a dog trying to escape, very large suspect biological fluid stain on the arm-chair cushion, ripped wallpaper. Staff was friendly and helpful. Laminate floors are practical but not nice to walk on in a beach area.

    Good location for exploring San Diego by car...right next to I5. A few bars and restaurants within walking distance, cannabis dispensary and In-n-Out right next door. Downside of this is that there were heroin needle caps in the surrounding landscaping, and on the morning I left there was a transient going through bags of trash looking for cans in the parking garage about twenty yards from my car.

    Great for Overnight Stays

    Price is decent for San Diego. Room was nice, large and clean. Staff are super friendly. Only complaint is pet walking area is a little small.
