The staff was very nice. The hotel was clean and the room was very comfortable. They even had dog treats on the counter; how nice was that! The hotel is close to everything. Definitely will be back. Definitely five bones.

Nice place and personnel. No cup or soap dish in bathroom. Furniture in bathroom was shabby. Otherwise just fine.

We stayed for one night but it was not a pleasant experience. The room had a bad odor and we went down to the front desk and spoke to the manager. He said we could move to another room but that was worse. It was dirty and the refrigerator door came off when I opened it. The bedroom closet was off the hinges and could not open it. We went down to the lobby and the manager asked if that’s better and we said no and told him the problems, he started yelling and said if you want you can leave and get your money back. I was very upset with his behavior. We went to dinner and came back and said he was sort for yelling at us but did nothing to compensate us for the room. We stayed there because we were not familiar with the area and we didn’t know who else in the area take dogs. I would like to speak to someone further regarding our stay.

The only problem was that the beds are to high. I’m 6 feet tall, and the beds where almost as high as my waist. My 76-year-old mother had a very hard time getting in and out of bed. I would stay here again.

This Comfort Inn gets a mixed review: staff was very nice, room was clean, location was very convenient, nice space for a dog run. Negatives: the room (standard king) was very small and poorly designed, when bathroom door is open it is impossible to enter the room; breakfast was dreadful, all carbs and sugar, everything wrapped in plastic which then needed microwaving of which there is only one available so everyone queues up for it, an unhappy group of sleepy people! The microwaving turns the biscuits and muffins into a gelatinous mess. Not a good start to a day of travel so don't expect to get through the morning on this breakfast. We have stayed in several Comfort Inns, this one is not up to par.

This place does not deserve one bone. It was absolutely disgusting. I would sleep in my car as opposed to staying here again. “Remnants” in the toilet, dried urine on the toilet seat, dried coffee on the dresser, sticky furniture, damp rugs, and mildew smell. We arrived late and exhausted so we sucked it up and Clorox wiped the whole place before passing out. Upon having a roach climb on my shoulder right after showering in the morning, we literally grabbed our stuff and ran out of the room (me with soaking wet hair). The front desk person was very understanding, sweet and apologetic and said she would inform the manager, but 5 days later and I have heard nothing. Do not waste your money here.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Quiet hotel close to Cracker Barrel, Waffle House and I-75. Good in-hotel breakfast options and the staff were friendly. Mini dog treats at the front desk were a favorite. Large grass lot with pet waste station for walks.

My dog and I had been tent camping for 2 weeks and he really needed a bath! Thank goodness there was a huge bathroom with a hand held shower head. Made it so easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of trees and space for my dog to. . . be a dog. Has washers and dryers to do my laundry. Delicious breakfast! I recommend staying here whether or not you have a dog.

This hotel is clean and friendly. Our dog settled right in and staff are happy to see you. It's close to restaurants to walk to and a 30 minute drive to a beach. Breakfast area was dog friendly too.

This was an excellent find. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was really clean, and not just for “a pet hotel” it was clean and neat for any hotel. There is a dog walking area with bags and disposal cans provided. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the Port Charlotte area with or without pets.
