Loved the Room Location
Hampton Inn & Suites Fort Myers Beach/Sanibel GatewayClean, comfortable, very nice hotel. Loved the room location that was provided for us (first floor, right next to an exit door leading to the large grassy dog walking area). The hotel location was perfect. Only a 30-minute scenic drive to the amazing Bowman Beach on Sanibel that was PERFECT for our family & furbaby!!! Huge beach, lots of social distance, and beautiful shells everywhere! Pet fee was a bit high, but for us worth it to stay in a clean room. Only negative is the AC leaked from the ceiling (too late to think about asking for a new room) so we had to place a trash can under it. No biggie for us though.

Negative Bones - HORRIBLE
Comfort Inn & SuitesThis place does not deserve one bone. It was absolutely disgusting. I would sleep in my car as opposed to staying here again. “Remnants” in the toilet, dried urine on the toilet seat, dried coffee on the dresser, sticky furniture, damp rugs, and mildew smell. We arrived late and exhausted so we sucked it up and Clorox wiped the whole place before passing out. Upon having a roach climb on my shoulder right after showering in the morning, we literally grabbed our stuff and ran out of the room (me with soaking wet hair). The front desk person was very understanding, sweet and apologetic and said she would inform the manager, but 5 days later and I have heard nothing. Do not waste your money here.
