- DanielFeb 3, 2024Really dirty
Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. Super dirty too.
- LauraJun 29, 2023Major updating needed
The place was very run down and right after we checked in, the power went out. Tv never worked great after that. None of the plugs in the bathroom worked at all and finding a plug in the room was almost impossible. The front desk personnel were very nice.
- DerekMar 18, 2023Friendly folk
The room was so antiquated. The bed was uncomfortable, the bathroom was not a true handicap bathroom. The people that worked there were friendly.
- LynneJan 3, 2023Happy puppy!
Convenient location, pleasant employees. Rooms could use a bit of an update, but not bad for the price.
- AnneNov 27, 2022Not up to standards
Dirty, run down facility. A huge disappointment compared to other La Quinta stays!
- PatriciaNov 6, 2022Savannah
The area had homeless people around the building. The room badly needed updating & not real clean with badly scratched & chewed woodwork (baseboard, door frames & door).
- PaulOct 22, 2022Location was good
I appreciate they allow dogs but they are taking advantage of pet people. Mold, dirt, smell. It’s completely nasty and isn't acceptable. We are taking a nap on top of our own blanket. We will not shower. Brush teeth and we are out of here. Should have just found a rest stop. Worst $100 spent ($75 plus stupid fees and taxes). Wyndham should be ashamed. OBTW - no place to charge phones and such. Most outlets don’t work and you don’t want to look behind anything to find an outlet. Minus 2 bones.
- ReneeOct 14, 2022Room Review
Room floors were not swept or mopped. Completely dirty. Linen was very yellowed. Very disappointed. The staff at front desk were pleasant upon check in.
- ScottOct 13, 2022Would not recommend
This hotel is not nice and is dirty. I do not recommend staying here
- LeslieOct 12, 2022Great staff, tired rooms
The location was great, right off the highway, which was ideal for a stop on the way to Florida. The front desk staff was great. The room was tidy with fresh linens, but it looked like the floors hadn't been swept, and it hasn't seen a deep clean in quite a while. Price was right though.
- JeffreyOct 11, 2022Wrong location
I thought I had reserved the Pooler location but made the reservation here by mistake. My wife didn’t feel safe, made us stay on 2nd floor, place felt sketchy.
- SueSep 16, 2022Wonderful
Loved our stay.
- SusanSep 14, 2022Good experience
The room was clean and comfortable and the price was right! One complaint was there was only 2 towels and there was no tissue in the dispenser! Also the guests in the next room went out and left their dog behind and the poor little thing just barked and cried! We have stayed here before and have never had a bad room.
- PatriciaSep 8, 2022Friendly and Safe
I felt safe knowing they had cameras everywhere outside the rooms. The team was nice and very friendly and accommodating. Even offered a lower level floor if it was easier with my dogs. I kindly declined only because the bed was a king size, it would have been replaced by 2 Queen. It gave me plenty of room for the dogs and I. Gas station across the street was friendly also. The room was a nice surprise. It had a refrigerator, a coffee maker with cups and creamer/sweetener packets, and such. The room was nice and cool, which helped all of us stay cozy after a warm day out for adventure. Pretty clean despite older hotel and needing some remodeling. It wasn't horrible. I would come back.
- LyndaJul 24, 2022Run down and shabby
AC was loud, with clunking noises every time it cycled. Although shabby, it was clean.
- RobertJul 23, 2022Not particularly clean
I should have done more research but I generally don’t stay in hotels the have outdoor access to rooms. Hotel didn’t have branding on the outside making me wonder if I was in the right place. Room wasn’t very clean. They did have breakfast there but considering the cleanliness of the room, decided to pass.
- ShannonJul 4, 2022Not as expected
No microwave in room even though lady at front desk asked if we needed one and was specifically looking for a room with one. Fridge doesn't work. Room is the bare basics and outdated.
- AngelaJun 27, 2022Disgusting
Seriously the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Couldn't leave because it was 10 and we were traveling with our child and fur babies. His father booked the stay I would have never if I read these reviews!
- MarjorieJun 24, 2022Bad hotel, not fit for my dog
Remodeling and demolition stuff in lobby, sidewalks. Put us in old room, bedbugs, old lights, missing furniture. I will go back to Motel 6 for better value and conditions.
- KarenJun 23, 2022Not good
From the moment I walked into the lobby there were assorted supplies and cleaning things all over the place it was not clean it was messy looked pretty bad. The one redeeming factor of this hotel is the man at the front desk was lovely very nice and friendly. A little bit difficult when I asked for a first floor room
Everything downhill after that. The room look like it had duct tape holding on the door. The environment outside the door was loud was a lot of people hanging outside. It was not really clean inside the room. Although I can’t go so far as to say it was filthy. Just overall I did not feel safe at this location. So I did not stay. I moved on to another property that BringFido recommended and it was amazing. - DEBRAJun 15, 2022We were not in our room 3 minutes
The room was horrible, Old, musty, smelled of smoke and under construction. We asked to be put as far away as possible from the current construction and we got the room right beside it.
- LaraJun 13, 2022Awful, filthy and disgusting, and dangerous
I would give zero bones if that were an option. This place should not be on this website. Do not stay here. It is akin to a crack den on a good day. Bates Motel.
- ThereseJun 3, 2022Find another hotel!
Distance from I-95 was the only positive about this place. It’s a retro 70’s motel that should be torn down. The rest areas on I-75 are cleaner than the bathroom in room 159. Would not shower there and left as soon as possible the next day. The surrounding “green areas” were on the property of another new hotel. Did not feel safe walking the dog. Plenty of newer properties in the area.
- ChrisMay 19, 2022Good Value, Under Renovation
Price was good, Room and common interiors were clean and well kept. Staff was courteous and competent. The place was clearly undergoing renovations, so the exterior appearance suffers. But that also says that they stay after things. Multiple poop bag locations around the good-sized pet areas. Have stayed there before and would consider it again.
- JennyMay 18, 2022Worst dump of a hotel
Hotel was run-down, sketchy, dump of a place. Local teens were hanging around at entrance; looked like drug dealers. Folks at front desk were rude and unfriendly. Setup is outdoor entry for each room and I was assigned 2nd floor. I tried to ask for 1st floor because my elder dog has trouble with stairs but desk guy said too bad, that’s what you get for booking with Expedia. Bathroom was visibly dirty. If I could rate it lower I would.
- VirginiaMay 4, 2022Great room
New owner, he plans on renovating the entire hotel. Room was nice and clean, front desk personnel was friendly and professional, and it was near the freeway. They serve continental breakfast in the morning. If I’m in the area again I will definitely spend the night there again.
- KimberlyApr 23, 2022Comfortable, quiet room
Bed was comfortable and had easy access to grass for dogs.
- NatalieApr 22, 2022Great location
We reserved two rooms for our group since we had three dogs. Clean and comfortable rooms and will definitely stay again!
- KarenApr 6, 2022Decent and available
We decided at the last minute to stay in Savannah that night. Other pet-friendly hotels either had bad reviews (dirty etc.), were insanely expensive, or not available. This was a reasonable price for the area, and was very clean, and the staff was personable. The room was showing signs of age, but we saw other rooms being renovated so at least they’re on top of that. Nothing remarkable about it, but for a good price, you get a clean, quiet room and that’s all that we were looking for. And they have a good, free hot breakfast.
- SueMar 18, 2022Disappointed
Curtains didn't cover the window and were held to the casing with duck tape. Bathroom floor dirty. The tub had soap scum on it. Stairwell was dirty and ice machine was destroyed. Not worthy to have the La Quinta name. Did not expect to be on 2nd floor with a dog. Disappointing.
- JOSEPHMar 5, 2022Subpar room
The rug was dirty, hole in curtains, hole in bathroom door, etc.
- CinduMar 2, 2022Great location
Very nice room.
- NancyFeb 27, 2022Good location
Room was dirty, curtains torn. Hair dryer didn’t work. Bathroom floor filthy.
- JoeFeb 24, 2022La Quinta I-95 Savannah Georgia
This place is by far the worst. Stay clear.
- CarlosFeb 5, 2022Not staying there again!
Place was a dump. Stopped there to stay the night on way home from key west with my dog. Place is run down. Very sketchy people hanging out in parking lot. Room was not good. Ripped curtains, dirty floor, stains on furniture or urine or other body fluids, coffee machine had old coffee in it with bug in machine.
Place was a total dump. - DenysFeb 2, 2022Almost unsanitary
The room was questionably clean, the bathroom was disgusting. The vacuum cleaner behind and under the bed had not been passed for weeks. There were animal kibbles behind the bed. This hotel should be completely renovated. One of our worst experiences to date. Really disappointing.
- GaryJan 25, 2022Excellent location, very comfortable beds
Cleanliness of the room needs to be improved.
- SuzanneDec 30, 2021Disgusting experience!
Our room was on the 2nd floor despite numerous vacant first floor rooms. There was the strong odor of a dead mouse permeating the room esp with the AC came on. Filthy outside. Lackadaisical front desk this morning didn't even acknowledge I was checking out. DO NOT STAY HERE. Only positive was a comfortable bed. Room was satisfactorily cleaned but the odor was horrible. We got up at 5 and left!
- MartinDec 24, 2021The best part was leaving
Tired, old and icky.
- BettyDec 22, 2021Great location
The price was great and the hotel staff was extremely nice.
- MargaretDec 15, 2021Clean Sheets
Clean sheets was the most positive thing I can say. At least they had that. We (big LA Quinta fans in general) were shocked at how shabby the room was: stained and torn curtains, seriously stained carpet, vinyl upholstery worn through to the fabric weave below, and outdoors, strobing security lights on the fritz and barely a blade of grass in the pet exercise area. But, it was a convenient location and the sheets were clean.
- KathrynDec 5, 2021Easy to access off I-95
Nice tile area in restroom with space for Fido’s bowls. Convenient and nice for the price.
- AustineNov 9, 2021Inexpensive
Basic and room smelled a little.
- DianeNov 6, 2021Will not stay there again.
I had to fix the toilet every time I used it. Had trouble getting the lights on in room. The girl at the front desk was super nice. However the homeless walking around outside made me nervous. I was glad the people beside me had three dogs that barked at any noise. When they took their dogs out I asked them to wait while I took mine out. I only have a little 5lb dog and was traveling alone. I will not make a reservation again unless I am in front of the place and know I am in a safe area. I do not like doors facing outside.
- AdrienneNov 1, 2021Not even fit for your pets
This motel is not up to normal La Quinta standards. Torn curtains nailed to a wall, air conditioner caked with mold and dirt, filthy room and missing furniture. It needs total renovations. The lobby had their ceiling cave in while I was there located right next to the breakfast food. Unacceptable.
- RobOct 15, 2021Savannah, Georgia
Very clean and comfortable.
- PatOct 13, 2021Pass
We have stayed at multiple La Quintas with our animals. This was probably the worst. Very old, holes in the walls, small, black mold in the bathroom, stain in tub. Didn’t even try the breakfast. Yucky! Only good thing was check-in - they had our reservation.
- PatriciaOct 11, 2021Quick stay
We booked just hours before arrival and found the stay relaxing.
- SteveOct 2, 2021Convienence
Near I-95 places to eat. Decent place and value to catch up on some sleep before hitting the road again.
- LoisSep 29, 2021Price is wrong! People at the desk RUDE
The price is way higher than here.
- MaySep 23, 2021Please don't stay here!
The first room they gave us (room 151) had flies on the bed, bedroom wall and bathroom and the AC didn't run so we asked for another room. The second room (room 146) had bed bugs on the bed, headboard and curtains. We ended up going to another hotel. The front of the hotel entrance right outside the lobby had a few cats hanging around. The parking lot had a strong smelled similar to cat pee. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
- DebSep 10, 2021Great stay
Beds are wonderful. Very happy to have our dogs with us at a clean comfortable hotel.
- BenteAug 29, 2021Not what I had hoped for
The hotel takes 2 dogs at no extra charge, so kudos for that. The room and the area around the hotel lacks maintenance and cleaning. Our room had sparks from an outlet with 6 items plugged in. There were hair on the bathroom floor and tub and the green area had lots of beer bottles and fast food wrap strewn around. Lastly, the hotel was clearly used as temp housing so I suggest those traveling alone stay away.
- SandiAug 29, 2021Dog Friendly
Dated. Furniture old. Fixtures rusty. TV remote didn’t work. Beds were comfortable. Good dog walking area.
- TimianneAug 3, 2021La Quinta Inn Savannah
Clean. Check In was easy and fast. This is my second time staying here. I would return again.
- CharlesJun 19, 2021Great location
We stayed here with our 2 dogs from June 6-13th. The room with 2 queen beds was fine and the mattresses were wonderful. Very quiet and a good pet walking area. The hot breakfast was very generous with very good coffee. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Victoria, the lady at the front
desk is very good at her job-polite, efficient and friendly. You can always check out the Ritz for luxury. - Kat (aka Karen)Jun 15, 2021Location not great
A little sketchy area and very little grassy area off sidewalk. Otherwise. Truckers and highway noise. Very mildewy.
- DavidJun 5, 2021Not clean
Shower curtain moldy. Visible dust on carpet. Plastic bag over smoke detector! Food waste all over stairway. No elevator. Linens and towels were nice.
- JohnMay 29, 2021Value
Unfortunate to find dog waste in the room on arrival. Room not clean enough for the price.
- HeatherMay 24, 2021Good
Felt safe, lovely front desk staff, comfy bed, AC, and fully equipped. Based on what we expected, the room was good.
- GlennMay 8, 2021Nice place
Great location...quiet...very clean...comfortable beds...front desk very helpful!
- CarenMay 4, 2021Great location
Great visit! We'll come here again!
- JohnApr 23, 2021I'd recommend you try somewhere else.
The room was dirty and quite shabby. It looks like the hotel isn't really being looked after. The staff person at the desk was quite nice and cancelled my reservation without any hesitation.
- TomApr 17, 2021Just Old
Room smelled of cat litter. Motel is just old and due a total remodel. Staff was really nice and accommodating as they could be with what they had to work with.
- DavidApr 16, 2021Great place to stay with our pups.
Clean, convenient and so many places close by for a good meal- right off the highway. No size requirement, and we have two large Catahoulas. No dog fee.
- NeilMar 25, 2021Filthy
Luckily we stayed during Covid crisis while they were deploying extra cleansing measures! Can’t imagine how deep the dirt would have been otherwise.
- RichardMar 21, 2021Downhill since last stay
I have stayed at this location before on my annual trek south, but this year the experience was lower. The room was showing age and the table was about to fall apart with one very wobbly leg. The dog walk area had no bags available, although the dispenser is there, and the light that illuminates the dog walk area just flashed on for a second like a strobe light. We asked for a ground floor room, but were told none were available so had to hike upstairs to the second floor with our suitcases. There were lots of empty rooms on the ground floor. The breakfast was downgraded to a paper bag which contains a granola bar, a muffin, and a fruit. While pets stay free, the overall experience may not be worth a return stay on the way back north.
- HeatherJan 9, 2021Not trying to be a jerk...
Staff pleasant but room not well cleaned (soda cans from prior guest, stains on chairs, odd smell). Dead mouse in stairwell.
- LindseyJan 9, 2021Great price
Keeping in mind that you get what you pay for, we were pleased overall. The price was great. Room was clean enough, fresh sheets, clean towels, cozy etc. Love traveling with our dogs. There were some stains on the curtains, a bit of a doggy smell in the room, and some cigarette butts and trash outside. Would not recommend staying on the top floor, as the stairwell was not well lit, was hidden in a corridor, and did not seem very safe.
- LindaJan 1, 2021Not happy
We have stayed at nice La Quinta Inns and this one is old and tired.
- CarlOct 10, 2020A Dump. Go Elsewhere
this hotel is old. rooms are tiny. not for a family. beds can’t fit two adults. place was not clean. not compared to a Hilton or Marriott level of cleaning. alarm clock didn’t work. fridge had a gigantic block of ice inside. clearly nobody opened it to clean it or look inside. it’s the kind of place you want to shower right after stepping inside.
- AnnamarieSep 28, 2020Went downhill
This property has gone downhill since the last time we stayed (2016) no poop bags or garbage cans anywhere to be found. Rooms run down (carpet frayed - curtains torn). Not sure if there are new owners, but I wouldn't stay here again.
- DianaAug 16, 2020Convenient
Amongst COVID-19, I’m disappointed in the front Desk staff who did not have a face mask or covering on when I checked in. As well as, the room seemed as if it was barely cleaned let alone deep cleaned for the virus. The room had remains of the last guest in the bathroom. However, you get what you pay for and it’s a decently priced hotel with a convenient location right off of I-95.
- RandyJul 5, 2020Review
Very clean, very friendly staff. Great place for the money. Would not hesitate to stay again.
- GlenJun 12, 2020Needs an update desperately
- HarrietJun 1, 2020Other critter
We were disappointed. Most La Quinta hotels are a step above. This appeared as a dilapidated roadside motel. The room was relatively clean but not completely. A friends room had a roach. The tub area was discolored and the window dressings were mildewed. The staff was lovely.
- SandraMay 8, 2020Description of room type not correct
As I was on the road relocating I booked the deluxe because in the description it stated that it had a fridge and a microwave vs the regular room only a coffee maker. When I arrived the king size deluxe was not available as the hotel had a 72 hour vacant policy - which is not a big deal I can do with two separate beds too. However there was no fridge in the room which was unfortunate as I had some food for the road with me that I had then to discard. For being in the unfortunate pandemic situation there were certainly spots that were not wear and tear which should not be especially giving the concern of travelers. I understand it is a cheaper priced option but cleanliness should not be sacrificed especially during the pandemic. Also putting a blue tape over the room card reader lock to mark which rooms are clean/can be occupied raised a little concern. Conveniently located close to I-95.
- DianeMar 24, 2020Location is convenient, but...
Room was very small. There was not even enough floor space for a small dog crate. The two double beds were saggy, The room overall was run down and not very clean. I expected more from a basic room rate of $170.00, for “deluxe.”
- LauraFeb 26, 2020Price Can’t Be Beat, But Kind Of Smelly
I don’t know if it was our room but it just smelled like pee, the price was nice for a quick nap and luckily they have a 24 hr front desk so I was able to check in at 3am after a long drive dog liked it but housekeeping/guests were yelling and slamming doors at 7am so dog was on high alert other than that it was ok for one night.
- SusanFeb 24, 2020Perfect for a stopover off 95
Room was clean, king size comfortable bed and modest breakfast for $53. Can’t beat it. Hotel employees very friendly too!
- JohnFeb 22, 2020Guest Review
Clean and quiet. Perfect.
- HeidiFeb 18, 2020Good location, fair deal for price.
Needed a cheap, dog-friendly hotel for a weekend. This one had the best deal price I could find, and honestly for the price I've seen a lot worse. Heck I've paid more money for the same or worse accommodations. Location is nice, right off of i95 with lots of dining right around it. 15-20 minute drive to Downtown Savannah. The staff was friendly, and check-in was easy. The room seemed quite clean.
Pros: Location, cost, clean room, decent/average room size, microwave and fridge, free door dash delivery, friendly staff, breakfast provided.
Cons: Bathroom shower is outdated; it's floor warps when you walk and the absolute slightest touch of the faucet turns it from lukewarm to the gates of hell. Also the bed seemed cozy at first but after two days my husband's and my backs and necks were killing us.Would stay again if I needed another cheap option. My pup had no problems and liked the bed a lot.
- JohnFeb 14, 2020Carpeted tool for pet stay.
The room smelled terrible.
- LoriFeb 12, 2020Ok
I’ve stayed there before and had a great experience. Nice clean room friendly staff. This time seemed my room was not as well maintained. Didn’t feel as comfortable. A bit of a difference from my first experience.
- PeterFeb 6, 2020Great Value
The room was a bit tired with some paint flaking evident. The mattress was excellent, location convenient breakfast ok. My wife picked up an apple and cut it before trying it. The apple was brown from just under the skin to the core. One would never suspect that looking at it so it was not their fault but, when we showed them the apple, they voiced no concern. Word of warning, slice before you bite!
Zero charge for two dogs and plenty of space to walk them made for a great value. - WillardJan 27, 2020Nice Hotel, Great Value
Hotel just off the exit from Rt. 95. Small room but very clean and comfy, good for one night stay on our way to Florida. Great value including breakfast. Plenty of places to walk our dog. Many places to eat nearby. Would stay here again on the next trip.
- KaliaJan 2, 2020Great staff. Good location.
- ZainDec 26, 2019Good for a stopover
For the price, this hotel offers plenty. My dog stayed for free, the room was basic but had a large bed, cable tv and free wifi. People passing at all hours kept my dog barking, so if you have a nervous dog try to get a room that’s out of the way. Free breakfast in the morning was a great bonus. It’s basic, and could use an upgrade relative to other La Quintas we’ve stayed at, but it’s near the highway and the price cant be beat. Oh, and the ample pet relief area with waste station just steps from our room was much appreciated! The hotel also has an outdoor pool which we didn’t get to use.
- EmilyNov 15, 2019Good location.
Room was not good but it was a good place for the dogs.
- LaureenOct 8, 2019Great people. Customer service is great!!
- GeorgeOct 5, 2019Convenient location
Right next to highway exit. Convent to various eats. 20 minutes to downtown Savannah. Staff super helpful. Older property that has been freshened. Would stay again.
- AlfredSep 16, 2019Disappointed
We have stayed at La Quinta Inns for three nights of our trip south because they will allow our dog. The first two nights were great, and then we get to the La Quinta Rte 95 Savannah, GA. Having made the reservation through BringFido I expected a first floor room as we had at the last two La Quintas. No, we got the second floor. Nor did the room have a small refrigerator or microwave as before. The room lacked a wastebasket. Called the front desk to ask for one. Two hours later I went to the front desk and asked again. Got it about an hour later. Room was dusty. Had only one washcloth and hand towel. Housekeeping items were left on the outdoor corridors. A bottle of disinfection spray was left in the ice machine opening. The stuffing in the arm of the desk chair is exposed as are the stains on the back of the seat. Limited electrical outlets to charge electronics. Went looking for a bottle of water. The first machine, out of order. The second machine worked but didn’t have water, had to settle for a can of coke.
Overall, below the quality of the other La Quintas.
- WalterAug 27, 2019App worked perfectly
The dog was very happy but the people didn’t like the cockroaches.
- ArtAug 22, 2019A pleasant surprise
The room was clean and everything was in working order. Staff cheerfully took care of our needs. Our Greyhound loved the beds.
- ElizabethJun 17, 2019Pass
This hotel is dirty and needs a total renovation. The outdoor walks and mats need pressure cleaning.
The first room was totally unacceptable so I got a different room.
I would not stay here again. - EricMay 29, 2019La Quinta Savannah I-95
Well ultimately its a great stop over when traveling. Yes animal friendly so get used to it. They had a guest get keys to my room accidentally and my dogs went ape shit. He demanded animal control and a new room. That's fine you tried to enter an occupied room. I took my lab Echo to the front desk. They loved here. Dogs get stressed while traveling. The Hotel get 4 stars from me.
- JenniferMar 24, 2019Don’t hate! They’re great!
Look, y’all. It’s a hotel/motel near the interstate. It’s somewhere that you go to hang your hat. For less than $70 in a major city in which all of the rooms are dog friendly, this is an amazing bargain. Our room was clean and smelled fine. The staff were friendly and kind. They even let us check in a little early and had dog treats at the front desk. The bed was comfy. Be realistic, people. If you want the Ritz, you’re going to have to pay for the it. I’m giving them 5 bones because they deserve the rating for what they are; nothing fancy, but it’s a clean, well lighted place that caters to dog owners.
- DebbieDec 4, 2018Terrible Motel
Grounds are filthy. Room smells. Carpet dirty. Bedspreads dirty. Booking company ripped me off. Does not deserve 1 bone rating.
