No Elevator
Super 8 by Wyndham Sidney NYThis place was OK, but anyone who might have trouble bringing luggage or their pet to the second floor should know that there is no elevator.

Great Grass Area
Comfort Inn Van WertThis is a very nice, clean, conveniently-located place to stay. The really big plus is there is a huge, beautifully maintained lawn for exercising your dog.

Hidden Gem
Quincy Inn and SuitesThis independent hotel doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside it was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not available the day we stayed, but there is a breakfast restaurant next door. There is a sidewalk with grass beside the road for walking.

Only OK
Super 8 by Wyndham Fort SmithThe staff was very nice and the beds were clean. However, the beautiful lawn in the photos was unkempt and full of poop landmines. This was a real bummer because there was really no place else to walk in an otherwise paved environment. We accidentally spilled some water on the floor and cleaned it up with a towel, which led us to discover the floor was filthy.

Nice Hotel, Sad Environment
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbus MSThe hotel itself is very nice and it is in a convenient location. However, adjacent are two defunct, dilapidated restaurants. Not the hotel's fault, of course, but it did make walking less pleasant.

Wonderful Stay
Residence Inn by Marriott Ocean CityThis was the first time at this Marriott Residence Inn, and it was by far the nicest Residence Inn we have stayed at. The room was spacious with a balcony and view of the water. The breakfast was fantastic, and there is in-house dining at the bar in the evening.

Nice Room, Great Location
Comfort Inn & Suites Sturbridge - BrimfieldWe were assigned a very nice direct-access unit, which we find convenient for taking dogs in an out. The setting is back from the main road and so was very nice for walking the dogs. Breakfast was well rounded.

Comfortable, Clean, Considerate
Hampton Inn & Suites MahwahWe found our stop at this Hampton Inn very restful. Un-asked, we were given a ground floor room, which was very helpful for dog walking. The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were well kept and provided good walking areas. The breakfast options had a lot of variety.

On the Beach
Best Western Plus Holiday Sands Inn & SuitesWe were given a ground-floor, beach-side room. It was very clean. Dogs were allowed (by the city) to walk on the beach after 6:00 pm and before 10:00am, so that was nice.

Stunning Grounds
The Founders Inn and Spa Tapestry Collection by HiltonIf you like a beautiful setting to walk your dog, this inn is for you. In addition to the on-site, fenced dog park, the sprawling grounds include a small lake, formal boxwood garden, outdoor pool and children's playground. The building exteriors are impressively attractive and the rooms are clean and well appointed.

Unique Location
La Quinta by Wyndham Charleston RiverviewThe location is tucked conveniently off the highway on a tiny spit of land with a marina on one side and a marsh on the other. It was a nice place to walk. There is a good restaurant next door at the tip of the peninsula. The downside is the building is really tired. The staff was friendly, the room was clean, but the door to our room was almost rusted through at the bottom.

Great Location
La Quinta by Wyndham Virginia BeachThe La Quinta VA Beach was just a block from the expansive, dog-friendly beach and boardwalk. The Inn was newly renovated and very nice.

Clean Sheets
Econo LodgeClean sheets was the most positive thing I can say. At least they had that. We (big LA Quinta fans in general) were shocked at how shabby the room was: stained and torn curtains, seriously stained carpet, vinyl upholstery worn through to the fabric weave below, and outdoors, strobing security lights on the fritz and barely a blade of grass in the pet exercise area. But, it was a convenient location and the sheets were clean.

Clean and Convenient
La Quinta by Wyndham FlorenceWe look forward to stopping at this La Quinta on our drives from Maine to Florida. It is conveniently just off I-95, the staff is pleasant, the rooms are clean and attractive and the grounds are well kept. The only downside is that it is on a busy road without a sidewalk, so dog walking is limited to the grounds.

Nice location but rundown
La Quinta by Wyndham Lakeland EastWe have stopped at this La Quinta many times over the years. It is in a great location for dog walking on a quiet, dead end street. It was never "new," but it has become quite rundown and the landscaping has been completely let go.

Good Stop But ...
Port Inn and Suites Portsmouth Ascend Hotel CollectionThe rooms at the Port Inn are great. The location is very convenient when traveling on 95. There is a quiet side street that is perfect for a decent walk. However, be warned that, at least at the moment (covid labor shortage?), the office is only open from 8am until 10pm. There is no access to breakfast until the office opens. So, if you need to get going in the morning, be sure you make other plans to eat.

Hampton Inn DoverThe Dover Hampton Inn is clean, conveniently located, and adjacent to a back street with sidewalks and grass. It also has a full breakfast.

Disappointing
Extended Stay America Suites Philadelphia Cherry HillI chose to stay at an Extended Stay America because of a previous good experience. This was the opposite. The room was poorly cleaned (hair on the tub drain, dried food grunge on the chairs, dirt around the edges of furnishings and a food wrapper under the bed - which my dog immediately discovered). Although it had a kitchenette, there were no plates, bowls, glasses, cups, utensils, cookware, coffee maker or dish soap, so what use was it? The only positive things I can say was it was conveniently located, the beds were clean, and it accepted dogs.
