Good Updated Hotel
The Circle Hotel FairfieldThis hotel is right next to an excellent Fairfield, CT, family Circle Restaurant although the hotel also has a free breakfast. Navigation from nearby Rt. 95 is a bit convoluted, but not impossible and easily accessible. Rooms are clean and neat, with adequate pet relief areas. A bit pricey, but it's western Connecticut after all near NYC. It's not the RITZ, but it's great for an overnight or two stop with your pet. You won't be disappointed!
Great Boutique Hotel
Kimpton Brice Hotel an IHG HotelHotel is incredibly pet friendly with lots of dogs and dog people, even in the restaurant (as long as the neither people nor dogs make a fuss!). A bit pricey, but accommodations are first class and they're in the heart of Savannah with easy access to many of the local attractions. Convenient overnight secure garage valet parking can be purchased, though pricing is probably on par with typical NYC overnight garage parking! If you wish to visit Savannah, for a couple of nights stay with Fido, it's a really nice place and recommended.
Nicely Upgraded
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Clifton/RutherfordClean, modern, large, and pet friendly Wyndham hotel with courteous staff. And a plus is the attached Red Robin restaurant! Conveniently located near the Garden State Parkway! Recommended!
Nice, but undergoing upgrades
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Richmond - Kings DominionPleasant accommodating staff, clean, neat, and large room. They are in process of upgrading thanks to Wyndham, but not yet completed as of November 2022. Convenient access from Interstate 95, and a reasonable "crash pad" for overnight with pets. AND, they're right across the road from the "Kings Dominion" amusement park! Would recommend for an overnight, or possibly extended stay once upgrades are completed (hence 3 out of possible 5 bones).
Clean & Neat
Red Roof Inn OcalaThe place was tidy and clean with convenient exits for the dog to relieve itself. HOWEVER, was very disappointed that although they have the space and facilities, there was no free breakfast, although most other chains DO provide a free breakfast!
Clean & Neat, But a Bit Dated
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Columbia SE Fort JacksonLa Quinta has been bought up by Wyndham Hotels, and the entire chain of hotels is now being gradually updated. This particular location was a bit tricky to find, as it's buried behind a few other hotel chains. But the room was clean, if a bit dated. Although the hotel appeared to be in the process of gradually being updated under the new Wyndham management. Price was reasonable, and it was right off the route 95 interstate with a number of eateries and restaurants nearby. COVID restrictions limited breakfast choices, but it was a convenient stop for overnight.
Clean, neat, but dated
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ft PierceWyndham Hotels has bought up the entire La Quinta chain and is apparently in the process of updating all of them. This one, right near interstate 95, was ok, but needed some updating. It's also a location that invites many travelers, including maintenance crews and truckers. Not rowdy, mind you, but lots of comings and goings in the early evening. And , due to COVID restrictions, there was no breakfast available. But the price was good, and at the time there was no additional pet fee! Perfectly adequate for an overnight stay while traveling with "Fido"!
Friendly, Clean & Updated
La Quinta by Wyndham ChambersburgLa Quinta has been bought up by Wyndham Hotels, and is apparently in the process of updating the entire chain. This one had few "warts", was clean and indeed modernized, and a comfortable, dog friendly stay in PA. Although a bit tricky to get to, it is close by a large mall with major stores and restaurants. And it wasn't overly expensive! This one comes recommended!!!!
