- KateAug 14, 2023Best Dog Stay Yet!
Beautiful hotel with live music every night. Room was amazing BUT BEST FEATURE was the walking trail along the river. After a day in the car, our hound loved the long walk we were able to take along the river. Highly recommend.
- CamilleMay 29, 2023Great Location
The location right by the river was great for our dogs to go on lots of walks! The pools were also awesome. We will most definitely stay again.
- MarnieSep 29, 2021One of the nicer Best Westerns
So I stayed at this hotel twice. Once on the way up to Oregon and then on the way back. Here are my pros/cons: Upon checking in, there was a problem with my credit card on their end and they said they would take care of it, and they did. But there was a problem with the rate charged and they fixed that right away too. It was a beautiful property and had a great vibe. The Riverwalk is so perfect if you have a dog, but exiting out of the hotel, turn left not right. Right is a much better walk.
I did have a problem with the lawn. We stayed in the rooms that are right off of the Riverwalk with a river view and the grass was really wet, actually muddy in places. That night, the sprinklers went on and then it was that much wetter! I mentioned that at check out but upon check in the following week, it was still a quagmire! The rooms were clean! And my dog loved having his own little loveseat in the room. LOL. I put a blanket on it, don't worry!
The first night we went to the outdoor restaurant and I wrote a review about that under the restaurant, but the restaurant inside isn't under BringFido so I'll tell you about that.First, it is more than awesome that my dog was allowed to go everywhere in the hotel except the main indoor restaurant, but he was allowed to go in the bar area. That night they had live music and he was able to lay on the carpet and make himself at home. However, the service was HORRENDOUS!!! The bartender completely forgot about us and wouldn't stop talking to another patron so I couldn't even get her attention. Finally, we ordered and they were out of White wine Sangria but she made me a Red wine Sangria and it was alright. The food was absolutely amazing! I think the best dinner of my whole trip. I had the butternut squash gnochi and my sister had the trout. SO good!!! The bartender/waitress did pay more attention to us later but when you're starving, it doesn't matter.
All in all, this was a great place to stay! Highly recommend and my dog loved it too. I could tell he was very happy to be back. That's what matters, right?
- MirandaSep 22, 2021Just okay
Expensive, room was just okay, dusty, and it was such a huge place and hard to navigate. Staff was lovely, though.
- NancyAug 27, 2021Great resort!
This hotel was so awesome- very large rooms, large grounds to walk our dogs, and right on the riverwalk. Pets could go just about everywhere. The food was great too at the on-site grill. Will be staying here again!
- GuyMay 21, 2021Great location
Very pet friendly. Near Boise river walk. Good breakfast.
- KimMay 21, 2021Will Stay Again
Very nice hotel, friendly staff and all around great stay with your doggies.
- JenniferMar 30, 2021Nice!
Very nice and clean hotel! Front desk was very friendly and accommodating.
- SallyDec 11, 2020Wonderful spot!
Even in covid times, the staff abs facility were so lovely to both me and the pup. We even got to have “dinner” together in the lounge part of the restaurant - a first for my furry boy. I can see why the previous reviews talked about this being a great staycation or long weekend spot - on the river, outside and poolside dining, fire pits....all fur-friendly. Splurge a bit and stay here!
- LauraNov 9, 2020Walk by the river, doggie yard for canine guests
This was nearly perfect for travelling with my 2 energetic dogs. Pet friendly rooms that overlook the river have a fenced yard behind (still need leash though), making it easy for those early morning or late night potty breaks. The river walk behind is beautiful, and kept my two setters enthralled - birds, squirrels. Dogs are allowed throughout the public areas of the hotel, and room was large enough to easily handle their two crates. Inexpensive pet fee - one time per stay ($25/pet). Plus, Boise itself is a great place to explore with your dog(s). Would love to return some day!
- JoshuaOct 30, 2020Perfect Pupcation
Joie and her human had an amazing time! Location was great and the service was beyond what we hoped for.
- ElizabethSep 26, 2020Big Dog Friendly.
Excellent location, great spaces for dogs of all sizes. Fronts on the Boise Riverwalk. Dogs are allowed throughout the property, even in the restaurants—with the exception of the pool. Room was comfortable, although definitely a throwback to the 90s. I will definitely stay here again.
- SherylSep 22, 2020Best for pups and their humans
Comfortable well appointed rooms. Fantastic location next to a beautiful river. Lots of great dog walks. The staff are wonderful.
- MarieSep 11, 2020Relax with your pawdner
We had a great stay at the Riverside Inn with our 2 pittie mix fur babies- they even got dog biscuits at check-in! Dogs are welcome throughout the property, even in the restaurants (outside dining). Boise is a very dog friendly town with tons of outdoor stuff to do with your pooch. We would come back for sure!
- EddySep 8, 2020Great rooms
Very dog friendly
- DawnAug 24, 2020Great place to stay!
One of our favorites when traveling with our pups
- RaymondAug 18, 2020Very Friendly FIVE BONES ALL DAY LONG
From the registration desk to the Sandbar pool bar/patio restaurant, this place is super dog friendly. Homemade dog treats to be had everywhere. I feel like this was a super nice hotel from the late 70’s, lots of brick and carved wood accents. They’ve done a pretty good job of trying to update where they can. Half of the bathroom is modern black granite and half is still vintage olive green/harvest gold. We stayed on a Tuesday night and there was live music at the Sandbar and the Lobby restaurant/bar. Fun place to stay and very kind staff to me and my pup.
- JaneJun 25, 2020Weekend Staycation
Everyone treated my dog Bailey like he was a member of the family with treats, smiles in a water bottle while watching the band at the sandbar at the Riverside Hotel in Boise!
- RichardMay 19, 2020Great location and layout!
Excellent location by the river. Hotel layout is spacious and tastefully appointed. They have excellent rooms for dogs and outside areas for walking. Having an in-house restaurant and bar is also a plus.
- MarleyFeb 22, 2020Best Hotel Yet!
We were a little nervous since the hotel looked so nice - and it is! But check in was great! They even have house made dog treats behind the front desk for the pups (also warm chocolate chip cookies for the humans)!
The rooms were great (they are renovating as of 2/22/20) and you can walk right out to a grass area and there’s a great trail very close by!
Yes, more expensive than a Motel6, but the room is very comfortable and nicely appointed. So I consider it very worth it and so do the pups!
- KarenAug 17, 2019Awesome Place
Our room was on the ground floor facing the Greenbelt and River with a fenced area with lawn for our pet. In-house bakes treats upon check-in for our pet (as well as warm chocolate cookies for us). Our dog was welcome almost everywhere in the hotel. Five bones from us 🐶!
- KellyJun 24, 2019Wonderful Hotel For You And Your Fur Baby
We stayed in room 507 and it was first floor with a secured green space with a river view. They let your dog in anywhere you go (pretty much) even the pool area! It’s the last stop on our trip and def the best stop so far! We will be back! 5 bones from us.
