    Great downtown location

Loved being greeted by the "lobby dog." Quiet location, even being downtown. Clean room!

    Nice owner/proprietor

We stayed here a year ago and the owner remembered us. The rooms have been remodeled. It is a great place to stay with your dogs. Dog fees reasonable.

    Old and Quaint

This hotel is one of those little nuggets in which one can see great potential in its future. It is old, but it is clean. Great for dogs—no carpet on the floor and a nice park is easily accessible. We prefer indoor corridors, but nothing can be done about that. It was quiet and one of the nicest things of all is how well the AC/Heat worked. Obviously, the system has been updated. Often this is something hotels overlook and based on our experience the AC/heat is a priority along with a good mattress to having a comfortable night’s sleep. The manager was great and even the morning clerk was great too!

    Interesting place

Great, comfortable room and large area to walk our pup. The lobby opens at 7.30 am with coffee and donuts. We think it should open earlier, maybe 6am, for travelers. Otherwise very happy.

My go-to in the Eastern Sierra

As always, a great stay. Room was clean and in good repair. Grassy park a block away. Lots of food choices for (human) dinner. Friendly service.

    Not clean!

Our room was horrible! Floors were dirty, hair in the shower and on towel. Half used shampoo left on bathroom counter. All I can say is this place is gross!!

We stayed here with our dog and cat while traveling. The room was clean and all needs were met. Staff was friendly. Location is near a park in a great part of town. Highly recommend!

    Great staff and location

I brought my 3 1/2 month German shepherd. There is a park right behind the hotel which is very convenient. Will definitely return when in Minden!!

    Historian Hotel

Reasonable hotel, easy access. Provided a "welcom kit" for the dogs. Very nice park caddy corner from the hotel. Very clean, lots of hot water.
