Old and Quaint
Historian InnThis hotel is one of those little nuggets in which one can see great potential in its future. It is old, but it is clean. Great for dogs—no carpet on the floor and a nice park is easily accessible. We prefer indoor corridors, but nothing can be done about that. It was quiet and one of the nicest things of all is how well the AC/Heat worked. Obviously, the system has been updated. Often this is something hotels overlook and based on our experience the AC/heat is a priority along with a good mattress to having a comfortable night’s sleep. The manager was great and even the morning clerk was great too!

AC Not Working
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Manteca - RiponThe place was fine, but the AC was not working properly. I reported the problem to the desk when checking out and a note was made. I was also reminded I could have called and our room would have been changed. As I told the clerk, “That is true, but once settled it is a pain to have to pack up again and move. My suggestion is to have the AC/Heat in rooms checked at least weekly to make sure it is working properly, so customers don’t have to deal with it.”

No Doggy Area
Quality Inn HolbrookThe room, though very simple, was clean and the bed comfortable. However, the heater was difficult to regulate and made sleeping uncomfortable. Also, the blow dryer did not work and there was no specific relief area to take our dog. I will say the night clerk was very sweet.

Rude Clerk
SureStay Hotel By Best Western Tuscaloosa SoutheastThere was no clerk at the front when I arrived. After, numerous efforts I finally found her and she acted as though she couldn’t have cared less about me. When asked if she was going to check me in, her response, “In a minute!” No apology; nothing. Floor was dirty and the tub looked as though it needed a good scrubbing. However, the bed was comfortable and we slept well.

Great Place!
Hyatt Place Memphis/Wolfchase GalleriaService was excellent and our room was very nice. We and Piper Cub really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other Fido fans.

Okay but not great
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham TucumcariWe’ve stayed here before and had been happy. However, this time it’s needing some TLC, though there appears to be efforts to begin refurbishing. There are still problems with the heating system not regulating well; slow, slow elevator the efforts need to be stepped up. Also, the one tiny soap provided is ridiculous; I had to ask for not one but at least two more so my husband and I could take a shower and wash our faces and hands.

Nice place for pup
Quality Inn & Suites Sequim at Olympic National ParkThis Quality Inn was a pleasant place to start for the night with our canine girl. Plenty of space for romping around in the grass right outside the side door of the first floor, which made night time potty runs convenient. Room was clean and nice; staff gracious. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
