- KathleenMay 3, 2024Great room for the price
Room was clean, breakfast was good, staff were friendly. Reason for the 4 bones is if a hotel is going to be pet friendly, they should upgrade to laminate floors instead of carpet.
- EuanFeb 2, 2024Great place
Clean rooms and great staff. Would recommend.
- AuroraJan 7, 2024Not worth the “good” price
It seemed good at first, but a lot of little inconveniences added up. First, I discovered that my dog was not allowed on the bed or be bathed there. Afterwards I found plumbing issues (toilet runs and shower doesn’t drain well), a pee-stained comforter on my bed, and hair left on the shower curtain. We also had noisy neighbors that awoke us at 6am, which is not fault of the Sleep Inn. However, there room doors are LOUD unless you intentionally shut them quietly.
- LezaDec 28, 2023Needs Improvement
The carpet needs to be replaced. The back door needs to be fixed, the microwave was useless. The ice maker on the 1st floor was broken. The breakfast made me sick and ruined my plans for the day and night. I would like a refund. Never staying there again. So unfortunate. The motel could address these issues without much expense.
- RudyJun 19, 2023Quick and easy booking!
It was really easy to book and check-in with our pup!
- JackMay 1, 2023Good area to walk dogs
Pros: great area to walk dogs, decent breakfast (included), clean rooms. Cons: carpet smelled badly. When we complained we were moved to a room which did not smell. Very nice receptionist. Dogs were happy and so were we.
- PatriciaMar 30, 2023Very Welcoming!
Staff was super dog friendly and people friendly. I had a large room (handicapped bathroom) my only complaint is there wasn’t really hot water for shower. I mentioned to staff and they said they were working on a few rooms on my floor that had same problem. Close to downtown Charleston (highway is BUSY) but a nice tucked-in location. We got a great rate and I would stay here again!
- KellyMar 17, 2023Not so good
Was greeted by an older couple with their dog who just checked in and had to walk all their luggage up 3 flights of stairs to find that they were given a dirty room, as in completely untouched. The elevator was broken, so my family of four, plus two dogs, had to lug all of our stuff up the stairs once we were finally checked in, only to walk in on another guest who was already occupying the room we were given! Once we got into an unoccupied room, it wasn’t too bad, except that the AC didn’t seem to want to work and even though it was cold outside, we were all sweating. The only thing that saved us there was that there was a ceiling fan. There was no designated doggy area. The hall walls were all patched up but not gully repaired. It just seemed rundown and unkept. Don’t think we’ll be going back.
- DorieFeb 16, 2023Great price
Our puppy was welcome. The room was fine for price. Breakfast was substandard. Had to go out to breakfast which is difficult with a dog.
- BarbFeb 1, 2023Decent hotel
It’s definitely not a Marriott, but after reading some of the reviews I was hesitant to stay here. We checked the room out before we registered to stay; it was neat and clean. Staff was very nice. The housekeeper made a point to thank us for our tip before we left.
- DanielMar 31, 2022Great location, safe and clean!
Great location, safe and clean and very friendly staff! This hotel does charge a fee for pets, and it is not waived even for certified emotional support animals. However, we did not end up being charged this fee. Not certain I'd stay again, ONLY because the potential for an additional $30/night just to have our pet with us seems a bit much. Everything else was outstanding!
- TawnyaFeb 13, 2022Great Dog Friendly Hotel
Very inviting. Clean and fresh. Staff friendly and pleasant.
- DeniseOct 30, 2021Bed bug
Disgusting, dirtiest hotel that I have ever stayed. The entire hotel is dirty, staff is not friendly, and my room, 101, had bed bugs. Awful experience. I will never book this chain again.
- GreggJun 20, 2021Close enough to Charleston to be convenient.
Decent hotel. Rooms a bit small. Not the cleanest, but decent. Fresh linens. There were stains on the floor from previous guests. But everything smelled clean. Lots of dog traffic in and out that made our littles ones bark often throughout the night. Seems to draw a late night crowd.
- ScottMay 31, 2021Cockroaches
The rating would of been 5 bones but unfortunately there were cockroaches in the room & bed. Very disappointing and disgusting to say the least. Hotel staff was notified about this issue.
- DebraMar 6, 2021Good location and nice room
We liked the location and the room was comfortable, clean and nice!
- ErinMar 25, 2020Great location
Great dog friendly hotel. Great location not too far from downtown Charleston. Would stay again
- DoreenFeb 25, 2020Great Location & Nice Rooms
This was a very clean & updated dog friendly hotel with breakfasts included. I would definitely book here again. It was on the main road leading to Charleston, about 10 minutes from the city.
- Billie sharonDec 15, 2019Forgot about any treats or anything for your dog
On the 4th floor, with a large dog who does not like the creaky elevator.
- VictoriaNov 19, 2019Highly recommend!!
If I could give 10 bones, I would!! Excellent accommodations from an early check in to an easy check out. Great location, clean and comfortable room and great customer service. Breakfast was above and beyond my expectations with everything you could want and an extremely friendly and happy breakfast employee. Would stay again and highly recommend!!
- KimberlyOct 25, 2019overnight stay in Charleston SC
We had a great time in Charleston and the Sleep Inn was very accommodating and the room was very clean and easy to get to on the first floor. I would go again :)
- EileenOct 11, 2018Not bad, a bit small
This was a clean and convenient hotel for our 2018 Charleston vacation. Room was near the door for walking our collie, and you can’t beat the price. Don’t get the room with two beds - it makes it very cramped for two humans and a large dog. The king size bed provides more breathing room and an extra chair. Dog walking area in the back was very limited - not much space for a large dog to stretch his legs.
