- JeannieMar 8, 2024Great, very convenient location
Right off interstate, reasonably priced, convenient to restaurants, very pet friendly.
- PatriciaFeb 8, 2024Good location and staff!
This is a nice, clean hotel and our pup was comfortable and happy. There is a nice area to let your pet get some exercise and do his business. I do think some pet parents should be more considerate and clean up after their dog. The breakfast in the morning was nothing to write home about but was sufficient.
Unfortunately we were stranded at the hotel for a few days due to car trouble. I have to give a big shout out to Cindy who was very kind and helped us tremendously making sure we had a good stay. All of the staff that we interacted with were very nice and made sure we were comfortable. There is not much in the area as far as dining options but there is a Cracker Barrel directly across the street. We will definitely stay here again as we travel to/from Florida.
- CarolNov 15, 2023Great stay!
The only thing I have negative to say regarding our stay is the water pressure in the shower is low. This would not prevent me from staying there again. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the hotel was in a terrific location and our dog was welcomed. Overall a 4+ out of 5 bones!
- GloriaOct 30, 2023Nice, clean place
Friendly and helpful staff. Like the work being done outside too.
- AnnOct 29, 2023Great place
Staff was great. Place was clean. Nice area to walk the dog.
- ChristinaOct 20, 2023Clean and friendly
Plenty of grassy areas for our dog to walk around and use for relief. Clean and quiet!
- WarrenJul 25, 2023Great location
Clean room but very dark. Nice room for one night.
- BillJul 10, 2023Great location
Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, location was perfect right off of 95. Staff loved our dog and our dog loved her overnight.
- PatriciaJul 1, 2023Nice place
Thank you BringFido for calling this small, spotless place to my attention. As an older woman traveling alone with a dog, I prize cleanliness & safety, & that was not the feeling at other area locations. The back of the hotel is nice, even at night, for walking a pet, & it has morning shade. Breakfast was a modest affair, the usual coffee, fruit, muffins & pancakes but no eggs. The yogurt was of better quality than most places these days though. The fridge in my first floor room pulsed constantly, like a heartbeat but it did not keep me from sleeping well. It had no freezer, but I was able to get ice for my cooler to get me to my next stop. I will stay here again. Nothing fancy, but smelled nice & was nice, & the price was ok.
- LindaMay 31, 2023Pleasant stay
The hotel is fairly new and in nice, clean condition. Pet fee was very reasonable ($20). Beds very comfortable. No complaints.
- JanMay 24, 2023Great Stopover
The hotel was very clean. Rooms are very compact, but very efficient. I liked the concept of the window seat; small dogs would love that. Nice large area to walk the dog. We will definitely stay again.
- MargaretJan 26, 2023Microtel in Waltersboro
This hotel was lovely, nice and clean - BUT the hotel clerk was rude, and not a big fan of dogs. There also were no trash can at the side doors where they wanted you to take your dogs out, so many, rather than taking bags of poop back into the hotel, just dropped their bags of poop at the back door, that was disgusting, but the alternative was not great either. Later we noted that there was no trash can anywhere on the premises except at the front door and it was overflowing, that evening and the next morning, so we had no other choice but to take the bagged poop back to the room. Strange, but true. There was a Cracker Barrel across the street with great take out, so that was a plus to this location. I would encourage the hotel to invest in a few trash cans.
- DonaldJan 4, 2023Great place for the dog, lousy manager
Good place for the dog. Owner extremely obnoxious though. Both this week and last week when we stayed. Although we have stayed there many times before, we will never stay there again.
- HillaryNov 23, 2022Friendly & Clean
Microtel Inn by Wyndham in Walterboro was lovely. Our room was exactly what we needed: clean, easy in and out, friendly staff. Hope to visit again some time! This was our first time using BringFido and it was so easy to use and we're so glad we did
- SherryNov 6, 2022Clean and comfortable!
We needed a pet friendly hotel and booked last minute while traveling. But cleanliness is vital and reasonable pet fee important too. We received both at this hotel. We upgraded to a king room and paid $30 for our dog in this room. Normally the pet fee is $20 and when traveling with 2 pets, as we usually do, I would want a room with $20 fee. I believe those rooms are 2 queen beds. I would stay here again, definitely. Staff was friendly and room was very modern and comfortable. Breakfast was Continental, but had the basics, including hard boiled eggs and fresh make your own pancakes, juice, coffee, muffins etc. Rooms had Keurig coffee makes, small microwave and fridge. 😊👍
- AubreOct 24, 2022Meh
I’ve never stayed in a Microtel before and never will again. After 10 hours of driving, I just wanted a good meal and a quiet comfy bed for myself and my dog. Everything about a Microtel is small. One queen bed small room thin walls so you could hear everything especially at midnight when the people above us rolled in. The bathroom had mold all around the shower and one of those pincer bugs walking around, so I didn’t dare take a shower. It was well lit outside and some grass area for the dog. Noisy highway though. And forget about a nice meal. The only restaurant was a very old dirty Ruby Tuesday with terrible service and cold, badly prepared food. I’m being nice giving this place two bones.
- StephanieSep 5, 2022Adorable and clean!
This hotel exceeded my expectations. After having a horrible experience with the hotel next door, this place was a breath of fresh air. It’s adorable, clean, and conveniently located off the highway. My pup loved it, too! Highly recommend
- CharleneMay 15, 2022Meh
Polite staff but helpless when other owners left howling dog in room to go to dinner. Against the rules, yes, but no penalty? Dog was 100% quiet while they were present so they probably thought it was OK. Advice to hotel: don’t put all the dogs in rooms next to each other. One barks, they all bark.
- LindaJan 11, 2022One night stay
Basically a clean hotel for a one night travel stay. Desk personnel very pleasant.
- EmilyAug 27, 2021Nice and clean
Pleased with cleanliness. Very pleasant and definitely pet friendly.
- TerriFeb 28, 2021Less than hospitable
Due to COVID we were not allowed in any public areas of the hotel and they offered no breakfast or any other amenities which we would have appreciated knowing before arrival. The abrupt manner of the gal who checked us in was less than friendly. Plus the room was not very clean. hopefully we were just exposed to excess dust and not the virus. We will not return.
- HenryFeb 15, 2021Ok
Frig didn't work. Place is shut down as far as amenities.
- SteveFeb 2, 2021Disappointed
First thing is that the hotel doesn’t offer any form of breakfast . Not even a cup of coffee. Second and more importantly , the walls are so thin that I could hear next door’s TV on all night and I mean all night . With all of the options available for in-transit stays, this hotel will fall to the bottom of my list.
- DanielleMar 11, 2020Acceptable one night stop
The hotel was convenient to I95, clean with the smell of bleach (probably from extreme clean for coronavirus), comfortable bed & very good walking area for your pet. The breakfast was adequate but stale biscuits, and food that appeared to be institutional & brought in.
- JudyJan 5, 2020Great Dog Friendly Hotel Right off 95
The check-in was a breeze. I had prepaid via the App but the $20 dog fee was extra. Room was on the first floor with easy access to outside. It was well appointed with a comfortable bed, clean bathroom, microwave, refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. Breakfast is included.
- KarenSep 7, 2019Nice Beds
My mother-in-law really liked the bed, which is saying something!
- LicienneAug 27, 2019First timers
First time we stayed at a Microtel and we were pleasantly surprised....the rooms were clean and updated and the staff friendly. The breakfast was great and so was the coffee. Easy off and on I-95
- PaulaJan 23, 2019Perfect stay
This hotel was such a relief. It was nice and clean. No doggy smell. Night clerk and owners were very pleasant. Hard to pick places along the 95 corridor when you aren’t familiar with the areas. This was safe, well lit, nice areas to play with the dog and give him a run. Nearby gas and restaurants and quick on off. I don’t usually write reviews or make recommendations because everyone has different standards and expectations but you can’t go wrong with this choice. Excellent choice.
- LauraOct 7, 2018Great location for traveling
