    It was okay

Actually, this is an okay place. I think they're just opening up so not all of their services were available. We were in one of the guests rooms, which was good size, clean, and comfortable. Parking was right outside our room which was nice. However, like I said, the kitchen wasn't open, and the ice wasn't readily available. I think this may have been because they're not fully open. It is in a beautiful area so I'm hopeful it will be successful. The camping/RV area looked pretty full. No real place for pets to "go potty" though.

    Rude staff member

It was fun staying in the Badlands but the woman who checked us in was not so much fun. She snapped at my husband stating dogs not allowed inside. There was nothing posted at the office entrance. I guess since this place is in such demand you can be rude in the Badlands. It was a campground with a few motel rooms for crying out loud. No need to be rude to paying guests. Wouldn’t stay there again. We will find another place when we return to the stunning Badlands.

    Breathtaking views

The view of Badlands National Park from our campsite was jaw-dropping. There is a dog-friendly trail within the campground but beware of rattlers in the tall grass. Some bathroom stalls didn’t lock and there was a wasp problem in one of the showers. On top of that, the building wasn’t very clean and appeared run down. Customer service was great, though. Dakota, the store dog, was nervous but became very sweet once you whipped out a treat.

    Too expensive

The bed was clean and comfortable, but $140 a night was a bit much for the condition of the motel.
