Very cute place that has been around for more than 40 years. Food was pretty good and seemed authentic. Wait staff was friendly and tolerant of our pooch. Some of the other diners on the patio seemed not to like that we had dog with us but he is well-behaved and sweet and so I think he won them over. Restaurant is a little outside of downtown. I would recommend going at ‘off’ times in the day/night.

……..plus the food was quite good. We stopped for an impromptu afternoon meal and not only was the food quite good overall, but the Carnitas Burrito was very delicious. We enjoyed the enclosed terrace and brightly colored patio umbrellas.
They are “pet friendly” but couldn’t find a dog “water bowl” so I took off one bone-point for that.

Busy restaurant. Make reservations! We took our 2 Labs and they had plenty of room to spread out. Our meal was good. They’re short-staffed, like everyone right now, so we ordered another Margarita and it never made it to the table, but it did show up on the bill. It was corrected with no problem.

A slow start (no hostess to seat guests, had to ask for water for our dog), but the food was great! Chicken Mole Poblano, Enchiladas Veduras and made-at-the-table guacamole. It's a bit out of town, but worth the trip.

Food was good, service was mediocre. I know service staff is overworked so I tried to keep that in mind. Brought us a water bowl for the pups upon request.

Very nice location and plenty of outdoor seating with your dog. Staff was very friendly and brought a water bowl for our dog. Food was wonderful. They do get busy on the weekends so reservations are recommended.
- MarciaSep 17, 2020Great Flowery Patio Dining
Gabriel’s food is consistently good. the chicken fajitas were moist and well-seasoned and arrived on a sizzling skillet with veggies and sides of pinto beans, guacamole and salsa. The fish tacos were equally succulent. The service is efficient but cold. Now you require a reservation at lunch and still wait in line. a prominent sign says only service dogs are allowed on the patio, due to “Covid restrictions.” Right under the sign sat 2 very large white dogs.
Our Chihuahua caused no comment from the staff. Gabriel’s has been dog friendly for many years, so the staff knows guests are unaware of new restrictions, which will soon pass, we hope. - LouannaAug 23, 2019Great Place!
Love this place! Great food! Great Patio! Great service! Extremely sweet to my fur baby and even brought him a water bowl as soon as we got there!

Lovely patio, great food. They welcomed our dogs but bring your own water bowl.

Absolutely unbelievable authentic New Mexican food, with outdoor patio dog friendly. They brought our dog a bowl of ice water.

Food was great and patio is beautiful. We arrived with a large Bernese Mt. dog in tow. They sat us in a shady spot and brought pup a bowl of water w/o having to ask. Definitely recommend dining with your dog at this location.

The food was great, but the service terrible. I called ahead to make sure it was okay to bring our pup and they said yes. When we got there our server acted like our 5 month dachshund was a ferocious bear and no one gave her a bowl of water.

This place is a 20 minute drove north of town. It's worth the drive for the food and atmosphere. Although they seemed put off that we had our dog which is curious since we picked them from this website.
