    Go Early

We went for lunch at 11:30 and were able to get one of two remaining patio tables so that we could have lunch with our pup in tow. The hostess recommended coming early to ensure an outdoor seat when dining with your fur baby. Our waiter brought our dog a fresh bowl of ice water as soon as we sat down. The fish tacos were great! It was nice dining with a water view. Highly recommend.

    Delicious and welcoming!

We had a fantastic experience at Millers on the sound side in OBX. They brought us a nice big bowl of water with ice cubes for our sweet dog. And the food was delicious. Exactly what we needed for our arrival day while waiting for our house to flip over. Can’t say enough nice things!

    Amazing location and hostess, but…

Spent hours looking online for a decent place for dinner and was recommended to Miller's Waterfront, so I decided to give it a try after all the raving reviews. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by our spectacular hostess, who went above and beyond in every way, she was polite, energetic, and joyful. We did have a little bit of a wait to get seated, which was slightly surprising given it was a Thursday, but we absolutely did not mind at all so we could explore the restaurants wonderfully property and amenities as we waited. The restaurant location was amazing, right by the water front and we got outside seating on a beautiful day which made the experience even more enjoyable, till a certain point. So unfortunately, those were the only thing that this place had going for it and where the positives end. The food overall was mediocre at best, everything was either bland and season-less, highly saturated in oil, or just undersized portions, disappointing especially when the average price for most of the entree items are $25 and up. We had a decent sized party that all ordered a variety of different foods and unanimously agreed how the taste, or the lack thereof, was plain and subpar. Now, a clear indicator that the food quality and taste would be substandard is when the first thing you are greeted to at your table is three full 16 oz bottles of ketchup, cocktail, and tartar sauce to drown your dismal and tasteless food in. The price itself was fair and reasonable without a doubt and I would gladly pay those prices at any other places (like "Mahi Mahi Island Grill" that's nearby), the issue was simply how second-rate and basic the food was FOR the price. But still, even with the "ok-ish" food, this review was strictly warranted and necessitated solely and merely for the terrible services we received from the waitress. We understand that one person that provides absolutely terrible services should not reflect the overall rating of a business, but because how terrible and atrocious she was, we figured it should be vocalized and known. She was not tentative and rude, where every response to our questions or requests were met with a rude, short, rushed, and disgusted response. We provided her the benefit of the doubt, given that she had other customers to attend to, we didn't think much of it, but after a quick observation we noticed how quickly her demeanor changed when dealing with EVERY OTHER customer. If we were to even disregard the attitude, that still pales in comparison as to how the terrible HER actual services was, only ever coming to refill drinks once, which also happened to be exactly a whole 23 mins since the last time she checked on our table. Again assuming she was busy due to the other customers, we thought nothing more of the long wait from her, until we noticed that she checked in and attended to 4 other tables TWICE before finally returning to our table 40+ mins after we were seated she was finally going to take our entree orders, which inevitably became messed up. We had no difficult modification or request, in fact out of the multiple meals we ordered, we simply asked for vegetables instead of fries for ONE meal as the only modification. Sure enough, that proved to be too difficult and challenging to fulfill on her end. Even again, if we were to disregard the terrible attitude, the lack of tentativeness, and the one simply substitution request being messed up, we would still be left with the fact that not a single tableware was removed after being finished. After we finished our appetizers, we considerately cleaned and neatly stacked our plates together thinking it WOULD make it easier for her to take away. Again that proved to burdensome for her, as not a single plate, not even our appetizer dishes were removed, even after they were neatly stacked and left in a cleared area of the table for her to easily grab that happened to be right in front of her when she came by to check in. The only other request that we asked for was extra napkins, and that only required two trips from her to finally remembered that we had asked and that our table even existed, and even that only took her 15 mins to bring. But nonetheless, we ourselves remained composed and polite with her, and ensured that we kindly asked for anything with a courteous tone and a please and thank you her for everything even with her horrendous and rude service.

Also the hushpuppies were also not that great, The Dunes Restaurant nearby, has better hushpuppies, plus they are included with your meals

    Nice location

They were welcoming in getting outdoor seating for myself and two dogs but they didn't seem to act very friendly due to my dogs being there. No bowls of water were offered and they made sure to not interact with the dog.

    Gorgeous views at sunset!

pups are with us at table side service in covered back porch area. servers were great. one set of customers were put off that our dogs were there even though they were exceptionally well behaved but that wasn’t the restaurants fault. all the food was awesome!!

    Great Sunset Watching!

Diners with dogs must dine outside on the deck but that is the place to be to view the sunset. Great food and service!
