Norm's Eatery & Ale House

To the uninitiated, the name may bring to mind a portly TV barfly, but this Fremont spot is actually named after a dog, which is obvious enough upon entry -- Norm and his canine pals adorn much of the wall space. Featuring a nightly food special dubbed the "Doggie Bowl," the theme is decidedly dogcentric and very laid back. Menu features country fried steak and eggs, smoked salmon Benedict, pepper burgers, chicken marsala, creole blackened shrimp and grits, and ale house meatloaf. Opens at 11am Monday to Friday (9am on weekends).

The Duchess Tavern

A casual tavern offers traditional pub fare and a variety of draft and bottled beer. Dogs are welcome at outdoor tables except during peak busy hours such as game days.

Summit Public House

Summit Public House has a great selection of beers on tap and welcomes dogs on the outdoor patio. Hours are 4pm to 2am seven days a week.
