Not the best
Desert Inn TucumcariBut not the worst. 1st floor room. Small pee pad for pups with poop bags and a gravel area where no one cleaned up their dog’s mess (what else is new). Comfortable bed, minimal breakfast. Fridge and microwave plugged into rigged powerbar. Adequate for a night stay with your pup and cheap dog fee.
Perfect for pups
Best Western Coach HouseAs others have said great pet hotel. Pros: off leash area, other areas to walk dog, free dog cookies, free water, great hot breakfast, cheap dog fee $10. Outdoor pool (but I was there in the winter). Cons: rooms are very dated, but clean and comfy bed so it was fine. Recommend: Houlihans restaurant around the corner.
Mostly great
Best Western Luxbury Inn Fort WayneNice renovated room with no carpet on the 1st floor. Area to water the dog next to a pond with bags/garbage. Walk to several restaurants. Cons: breakfast looked great but food and coffee was cold and tables/floors a mess (I think a staff issue). $30 dog fee was on the expensive side.
Great hotel
La Quinta by Wyndham ClaremoreThis newish hotel is a great hotel, lovely rooms, fresh and clean and good value. It has a Mexican and an Irish restaurant next door. That said our reviews should reflect how they are for our pups and I have to say they could do better otherwise I would give them 5stars. All dog rooms are on the 2nd floor so you have to take them up the elevator. There may be stairs, not sure. There was no kind of dog relief area.
Great spot
Super 8 by Wyndham Santa RosaQuaint, cozy and friendly staff. Great room, right off the highway. Not a great spot on site for dog walking but sweet, clean park across the road for a dog walk. Free breakfast. This little town is right out of the 60’s…so quaint. Had dinner at the Silver Moon Cafe. Great staff, food and gift shop.
Good value
Baymont by Wyndham IndianapolisThis hotel was good value for the money. Clean with very comfortable beds. With snow on the ground we can’t evaluate outdoor dog facilities but just walked her around the parking lot perimeter. We had a main floor room that had access to an outdoor side door down the hall. Also a decent light free breakfast and nice looking little pool. Perfectly fine for our one night stay.
Not advised
Ramada by Wyndham TulsaThe room was in dire need of paint, and sprucing up, the hot water took ages to heat up, and there was a man hanging around outside our ground floor window. Dog poop everywhere. Please pick up after your dog. Sketchy area. Giving it one star for the very comfortable bed and nice staff (including the security guard that we had to deal with).
