River Country Motor LodgeWe had a quiet and comfortable stay at this hotel on our trip. The room we had was recently updated and the bathroom was spacious. There is plenty of lawn space in the back and side of the hotel for our dog and we discovered in the morning there is a trail on the other side of the I-75 Business road behind the trees that runs north and south if you are looking for a longer walk away from the road.
Comfortable stay
Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Ann Arbor - U of Michigan NorthThis hotel was comfortable and quiet for us. Based on the recent reviews, we paid a little extra for the Premium Room which had been recently remodeled with upgraded bedding and came with a (people) snack box. Plenty of grass around the hotel for us to use. Our pup was comfortable and slept well.
Comfortable and cozy
The Cardinal InnWe had a great stay at the Cardinal Inn. The rooms were warm and cozy. Easy to take our morning walk in their yard and along the main road which had sidewalks on both sides and plenty of crosswalks for miles in both directions. Convenient location in the Smoky Mountains for all our activities.
Comfortable and quiet
Days Inn by Wyndham LincolntonWe had a comfortable stay at the Days Inn Lincolnton. The room itself was recently renovated but the bathroom was still original. The included breakfast was an individually wrapped muffin, coffee and orange juice. While the hotel itself is mostly parking lot and building, there was plenty of green space to walk safely in front of the hotel as it is set back from the main road on a side road.
Basic no frills motel
Motel 6 Staunton VAWe enjoyed our short stay at the Motel 6 in Staunton. No issues. The room was quiet and comfortable. No extra fee for pets, which is great. Thanks!
They added a pet friendly outdoor seating area!
Watami Sushi & NoodlesIn a recent trip to the mountains we found that Watami had added a new covered outdoor seating area that we could dine in even if it was raining outside. The friendly staff even brought a bowl of water for us.
Nice pet-friendly seating area.
Wildwood GrillA large outside deck area has plenty of seating for us with our dog and they brought out water for us as well. Our french fries were a little soggy, but the food and service was otherwise great.
We stopped by and loved our visit
Nantahala Outdoor CenterWe weren't sure what to expect here. We stopped by and there are plenty of places to walk around and watch people kayaking and rafting on the river as this is the take-out point. The NOC Outfitter's Store is pet friendly even though I didn't see anything on the door. The friendly staff waved us in when they saw us standing by their door and gave us a treat. The waterfall was cool also.
Nice Comfortable Stay
Ridge Top Motel Bryson CityWe had a comfortable stay. We were assigned an upstairs room but we are used to climbing stairs so it wasn't an issue for us. We slept well and enjoyed the peace and quiet and mountain air along with the friendly neighbors at the hotel. We were told the unmowed property across the street was the pet relief area when we arrived. It wasn't a problem because we mostly were hiking and walking around the mountains during the day.
Hot Dog
Curtis' Famous WeinersWe were looking for a place to have lunch in Downtown Cumberland and we stumbled on their set of shaded picnic tables with a service window for Curtis' Coney Island on a side street. Since it was outside picnic tables, it was just what we were looking for. The umbrellas were great to get out of the sun. Coney Dogs and fries were great.
Quiet and comfortable
Keyser InnQuiet and comfortable hotel just south of town. We were greeted and petted when we arrived. Plenty of yard with green grass in the back. Lots of outdoor activities in the area. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Great antique shop
Granddaddy's Antiques & Collectors MallIt was great that they allowed me to bring my dog into the store and shop. Too hot to leave her in the car outside. It is a bit of a walk to get to a grassy area on the side of the parking lot but it was overall a very great experience for us. The "Pet Friendly" notice is on top of the doors to the store.
Great place to visit when walking around town
The Dapper HoundWe stopped in and put together a bag of mixed treats to eat while visiting and walking around Mount Airy.
Great place for us to cool off
Uncorked Wine Shop & BoutiqueVery dog friendly staff and customers. We enjoyed our drinks and snacks and got out of the afternoon sun for a spell. Sorry we got some of our water on the floor while drinking. Thank you for letting us hang out.
