Only for CAR RIDE lovin pups
Rocky Mountain National ParkThis is a beautiful must -see for hoomans scenic drive. We saw running streams and wild elk. Gorgeous rock formations and you are above the clouds at the peak. There are many “pull over to side of road” spots to take in the glorious beauty and take photos. Dogs are welcome in these areas but not much landscape available to potty let alone romp around. That is disappointing. There are trails but again, “no dogs allowed” on the trails. It would be nice if this 44 mile roadtrip over the mountain was dog-friendly. It would not be difficult or too costly to section off an acre of land here and there for the pooches. It is not like there isn’t enough grassy area to do so. 🤷🏼♀️
Look for Adolph Coors statue!!
Old Capitol Grill & SmokehouseThis gem is located in the historic former Capitol Building of Golden, CO. Corner of Washington and 12th street. You can see the Coors Distillery from the ample patio space for the pups. Each table with it’s designated umbrella for nice shade. Water for pups provided and the food was delicious! I recommend the Hatch green chili burger. Yum! Our friendly server was attentive to our needs and knowledgeable of the surrounding area.
Breathtaking view!
Trailhead RestaurantThe patio area was large and dog friendly. water bowls available. lLittle chipmunks in the wild made my pups bark up a storm which we finally had them sit away from the railing so other patrons did not have to listen to their rambunctious “Imma gonna get you, chipmunks!” craziness. We enjoyed the food. smoked salmon sandwich was a favorite amongst our family. Servers were friendly and attentive to our needs. The gift shop at this place was hugggge! It looked like a Cracker Barrel gift shop on steroids! We walked away with several unique souvenirs. We would definitely go back. (See photos)
Dog-friendly Atmosphere/great food!
Carbondale Beer WorksWe ordered the chicken tacos & a pork ribs special. Both meals got two paws up from each of us! Yummy warm pretzel with melted cheese as an appetizer. So good, we ordered another! We also ordered the Blonde Ale brewed there and it was great. Pups got a bowl of fresh water without us even asking for it which was nice. The highlight of their afternoon was when a chipmunk scampered by near the patio dining area. 😂🤭. Luckily the pups were leashed as it caused quite a fun show!
Revitalized Dog-town!
Six Car Pub & BreweryWhat a fun place with outdoor lawn games for the kids/teens! We ordered the grilled cheese short rib sandwich and it was yummy! Water bowls available for the pups. Friendly staff.
Tomahawk bones! Yum!
