Nice walk through the grounds
Magnolia Plantation & GardensWe had a very nice walk through the lovely plantation gardens. Would be better in the spring instead of the super humid summer but still nice. Watch out for the alligators! We saw some in the waters there so keep your dog on a short leash and don’t let them near the water.

James Island County Park
James Island County ParkOur Pup had a great time. So nice to have a dog “beach” in an off leash area. She learned to swim and tired herself out meeting lots of new friends. Yes we saw a small alligator swim a distance away so we moved over to the other areas. Loved the wash-off hose and gravel area as well as separate entrance and exit zones.

Small but nice little Garden
New Hanover County ArboretumFree Arboretum that allows dogs. Good for a respite from the heat. Our dog enjoyed watching the carp.
