So pleased that I made the effort to cross the Coronado bridge to get to this dog beach. During the week, parking is relatively easy. The beach is very clean, owners appeared to be responsible and wasn’t very crowded during the week. The Navy planes coming and going were an unexpected surprise.

Both the large and small dog park are tiny and only have only sand. Minimal shade - surprising in a mountain community. Location is nice - very close to the lake.

While visiting the San Diego area I visited several dog parks. This was the best park by far. It was well maintained with plenty of space for all dogs. Note that there is not an area for small dogs, it did not seem to be an issue. Plenty of trees, grassy areas and places to sit and relax.
