Reeked of urine

Typical budget pet friendly hotel. Would rather save my money and sleep in my vehicle at a roadside park than sleep in a hotel that reeks of urine. (I realize it has more to do with the pet owners not cleaning up after their pets.)

Great dog-friendly hotel

Clean, modern from the exterior to the lobby to the rooms. They keep it sparkling so the guests will do the same. Before booking always look at the number of the reviews and try to stay in 4 bones or 8 stars and above. If there aren’t enough reviews on BringFido, look for other reviews. This hotel gets a huge thumbs up! If it disappoints, then your expectations for pet friendly, low fee and clean are out of whack. 😉

Will stay again

This hotel has everything going for it with the exception of age. Some things are definitely showing their age and other things have been patched (the stairs to the second level are uneven … there is no elevator that I’m aware of). But the stay still beats the remodeled Motel 6 that I have given three separate tries. The staff at this hotel are friendly. There’s the typical hotel breakfast and a free happy hour (wine, cheese and meats). The rooms are large as this was previously an apartment complex. We received a free upgrade to a two bedroom with king beds. The TVs are small. The beds are super comfy. I took my own pillows, as usual. It’s close and convenient to a lot of things. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Tight quarters but clean

We had a room with two double beds as nothing else would fit and we still would bump our shins on the platform bed. But as far as dog friendly hotels go this one was one of the best kept that I’m been to. The downfall (and it’s a huge one) was the neighboring room appeared to be a full timer and she had no regard for others that got a room to sleep for the night. She went in and out of her room a minimum of every 15 min from 11pm until 2 am and didn’t even try to quiet her barking dogs. I may have dozed a couple times throughout the night. When i informed the front desk when checking out, I only received ‘sorry for the inconvenience’. I would’ve thought he would inform mgt or indicate they’d follow up with the tenant in Room 107. Other than right accommodations and the inconsiderate tenant, it would’ve been a 5 bone (especially for a Motel 6). Oh, be forewarned, the outside and lobby are lackluster as well. (I’m more concerned with the room itself.)

Very Impressed even without a grassy dog area

This hotel exceeded my expectations. I’ve only stayed in two other dog friendly hotels and both were over priced and ragged (even nasty). This hotel is as nice as pictured. Beds are comfortable. The fridge does make a gurgling noise but it’s not loud and more like white noise. Conveniently located. (Dislike roundabout used to get to hotel but that’s not the hotels issue.) Granted there’s no grass but I didn’t notice any pets not being able to relieve themselves. ;)

Most Dog Friendly Park I’ve Visited

I didn’t see one place in the park that didn’t allow dogs. Well, naturally they wouldn’t be allowed on some of the attractions. All dogs we encountered were well behaved. Great BringFido experience.

Dog Friendly YES but paid over $200 for a $39 hotel

I realize most dog friendly hotels won’t be the most modern but this hotel was a huge people disappointment considering they charged over $200 on a non-holiday Saturday night. The entry was ok (the food area was a pigsty after breakfast ended on Sunday), the elevator had issues (would take you up and right back down where you started ... forgetting to open the doors on your destination floor!), stained common area carpet, poor repairs throughout, cracks and mold in bathroom, paint overspray and the back entry key card security lock was broken (allowing anyone to enter). Staff, when questioned about it, stated ‘‘it’s an old hotel, it doesn’t work’. From inside your room, you can see under the door into the hallway. Cans laying out by the unsecured back entry. I could go on.
I see the rates for mid week are $100 ... what a bargain. :/ I learned something ... ‘by Wyndham’ is pretty much meaningless when trying to decide on which dog friendly hotel to try.
Why’d we stay? Over $200 prepaid and non refundable. After seeing the place, I totally ‘get’ their non refundable policy. Stay if you must but there has to be better options in the area.
