Good location, dated hotel
Sonesta ES Suites Huntington Beach Fountain ValleyThe first room we got smelled terrible, like old cigarettes, damp carpet and mold, and was in the very back of the hotel with no available parking. We asked to switch rooms and were moved to a room in the main building, which smelled better than the other one and was upstairs above the breakfast area (no elevators). The decor was really dated; the furniture was all from 1970’s and uncomfortable but there was plenty of storage for our stuff and it was easy to take the dog out to the grass areas from there. The bed was fine. The shower was okay. We had to check out a day early and were assured by the staff we could get a refund for the unused night. However, BringFido tried to get their approval and they refused, so we lost about $165. Would not come back here. Other notes: This location is right next to another hotel and they have similar names.
Great views, clean room, easy parking
Sonesta Select San Francisco Airport Oyster Point WaterfrontDespite questionable Yelp reviews, we had a good stay here. Friendly staff (shout out to Ambrose). Clean room on first floor overlooking the Bay, comfortable bed, close to lots of grass for the dog, really easy parking. BART station under 10 mins drive away. The only issue I had was the trash cans all around and outside the building were overflowing with trash the entire time. Otherwise, this is probably the best deal you will get near SF if you have a dog.
Good price, comfortable bed
Rodeway Inn & SuitesTwo bones for the comfortable bed and the working jacuzzi tub with really hot water in the room. There were several issues, though. The front desk is 24 hrs but the young lady who checked me in around 11pm complained to me about how tired she was. There were balled-up damp washcloths being used to prop open all the doors in the hallways (???). Black curly hair was in the jacuzzi tub and on the floor near the tub and there were no tissues in the room. The included breakfast was from 6-9am but there was no coffee available from 6-6:45am, which was very annoying. And the areas for dogs were all rocks and weeds with no real grass.
Great dog friendly hotel
Twisp River SuitesMy dog likes this place a lot! 4/5 from the dog. There were a few issues, though, so 3/5 from the humans. There was dog poop on the outside patio when we got there and only one poop bag left (good thing we had lots). The room was not very clean (dirty mirrors, dirty coffee machine, dust piled up on the lamps, broken shampoo bottle in the shower, empty salt/pepper shaker, etc.). The staff called us 2-3 times a day on the room landline to check in, which is just too many calls from staff. They even called my mobile once to give me directions to the hotel!
Terrible
Baymont by Wyndham BillingsThe only positive to this place is a decent grass area out front for dogs.
Awesome!
Virgin Hotels Las Vegas Curio Collection by HiltonAmazingly dog-friendly experience. The only slight downside was the pet relief area was astroturf, which my dog doesn’t really prefer.
Great hotel
Hotel TeatroThis hotel was great for my dog! The only inconvenience was the closest grass/park area was 1/4 mile from the hotel, which feels pretty far in the middle of the night.
Dog-friendly hotel with section for dogs
Prospector Hotel and CasinoFrom the human perspective it was great. Cute dog art and a whole hallway of rooms for dogs and their owners. They left cookies and had a dog bed already in the room. The designated dog relief area outside was spacious. The downside was extremely thin walls. The hotel provides complimentary earplugs for humans, but my dog had a hard time sleeping for much of the night due to sounds of the other dogs all around us.
