Simply Beautiful
Cerritos Sculpture GardenFirst of all, Cerritos is a lovely place. This Sculpture Garden is in with the civic center and the library. It is outdoors and, while small, it is simply beautiful. The dogs loved walking around the sculptures and we enjoyed it as well. It is worth a trip.
Beautiful Dogs, Beautiful People
Creekside Park Dog Fun ZoneWe were spending a week in San Juan Capistrano and took are dogs to this dog park several times. The dogs were all friendly, the owners were welcoming, and the park was quite nice. We were glad to add it to our list of visited dog parks.
Having a Dog Fiesta
Fiesta Island ParkFiesta Island is massive and so there is plenty of room for dogs to run and play. Murphy and Bella had the best of time. They ran on the beach, walked in the sand, rolled in the sand and played until they were tired. A tired dog is a happy dog. These dogs were happy with tails wagging as we left. Excellent place for dogs.
Boat ride for the whole family
Fun Zone Boat Companyour two pups joined us on a 45 minute boat ride with fun zone. they were so welcoming to our dogs and the whole family enjoyed our trip. it is inexpensive, informative, and fun. we plan on going again.
So green and pretty
Laguna Beach Dog ParkThis park is really big and green. All the dogs there were friendly and the owners too. we spent about an hour at the park because the dogs didn’t want to leave. we will be returning.
Cute Ferry Experience
Balboa Island FerryWe have taken the ferry in the car and as riders onto the ferry. The dogs with us each time and everything went smoothly. The staff were very accommodating and interested in the pups. it is a great way to travel to and from Balboa island.
CLOSED to Dogs on the 4th of July
San Clemente Pedestrian Beach TrailWe drove from San Juan Capistrano to this trail to find out that the park was closed to our pups on the 4th of July. Nothing was listed on their website, because I checked it before we left. No sign as you entered the parking lot. After we paid, got out of the car, and walked to the trailhead we saw the sign. NO DOGS on the 4th of JULY. I have no idea, why. It wasn’t like the trail was crowded. This was very disappointing and I won’t be back.
Remote and fun
San Onofre State Beachour family loved this trail, beach, and vibe. There were camper and day passes. We just went for the day and had a great time. The dogs have to be on a leash, but if you get away from the large groups at site 6, many owners let there dogs off leash to play in the waves for a short time. No one seemed to mind. We had a fabulous time.
Love it
Huntington Dog BeachMy two dogs love this beach and so do we. It is so fun to see the dogs running into to ocean and getting hit with waves, tails wagging, tongues hanging, legs running. We may actually plan our next vacation around the park.
