No place to go potty

There wasn't anywhere to take them to go to the bathroom. Otherwise it was ok.

Great location and huge field

No hassle over two medium sized dogs. There's a huge field where I was able to safely let my dogs run and play. Room was comfy. Breakfast was iffy but you can't have it all! It's also within a 15 min drive to a great fenced park.

Great for swimmy dogs!

We've been twice to the beach and twice to little bay. The beach is nice but the dogs don't like the waves.

Little Bay doesn't have waves, it's just a nice place to take the dogs. It's not deep but if you have a little dog they'll be swimming within a few feet from the bank

Lost a star because walking in can be a bit iffy...lots of holes. Plus, there's not a lot of beach. You may have to carefully pick your way off the bank to get into the water.

Best restaurant ever!

My 2 dogs and I went around back to find a seat but the waitress directed us, through the restaurant, to the hostess station!!! The hostess seated us IN the restaurant! Then brought them a bowl of water. Super hot outside but my pups laid down on cool floors, in the AC and snacked on great chips and queso with me as I looked out over the water.

Staff and other patrons couldn't have been friendlier. Ladies at the next table helped me gather up to go boxes and leashes.

To note for older or injured dogs... have to use stairs if you go around back but the front has a ramp.

Food was pricey but you can easily get a full meal from the appetizer section. My husband's nacho salad gave him two meals.

Great park, lots of dirt

This is a great fenced in park long enough for the dogs to stretch out and run. Good water station and hose. Back part is grassy. Front part is oak hammock gray dirt that gets down deep in the fur. A bath after is practically a must.

Finding it is difficult if you're not familiar with the area. It's at the very back of memorial park and then you have to walk a trail off to the left, behind the pond, to get to it. There aren't any signs and you're back in the middle of nowhere. If you're not comfortable walking alone in the woods this may not be the place for you.

A potentially big problem is that to open the gate, you have to be able to reach the top of the fence. I had to stand on top toes to reach the latch. Then a little more to pull the latch up.

Nobody was there so I can't review how others handled their dogs.

But no matter the details, my border mix and bernedoodle were able to run flat out and enjoy themselves immensely, except for the bath after.

If you want to take your dog swimming, go to little bay, by the crab. Lots of people so no worries about snakes or gators

Drug den!

Had to drive around to find my room. Cars in the back are expensive. Everywhere else had guys hanging out in cars and I had to walk past them several times to carry my stuff upstairs through the fog of pot. Took the dogs to the small strip of grass to pee and one stepped on a hunk of human hair. I couldn't get a 1st floor room - guess they're for the druggies. Dogs will have to hold it. I'm not taking a chance going back out after dark.
