Great park
Mackinac Island State ParkThis park was definitely what we needed when on the island with our dog. Once we got onto the trails, away from the main tourist attractions, we were able to enjoy a very peaceful walk with our pup. We particularly enjoyed the Botanical Trail.
Pet friendly
St. Ignace Budget Host InnOur room was very small, but it served our purposes. This is a great location, right across the road from the ferry. We were also able to walk along the boardwalk, and through downtown. The whole area seemed very pet friendly.
Very accommodating
Shepler's FerryThis was a great experience for our pup. We rode up top on the way there, and while it was definitely windy, this was our preferred method of travel. We had to ride down below on our return trip due to rain, and the crew were very accommodating, allowing my husband to stand in back with her, rather than being in the crowded cabin.
Very accommodating
Ice House BBQThis was a great place to eat with our dog. It’s a little off of the beaten path, which made it nice, and not quite as busy. The staff were very accommodating, asking about how our dog was with other dogs, and giving us a choice of tables where we’d be most comfortable. It was a nice peaceful setting, with great food and drinks!
