This establishment is seriously neglected
Red Roof Inn Rochester HenriettaI'm amazed they are renting these rooms out in the shape they are in. I took over 20 photos. Too bad I can't upload a few. There were stains everywhere, unpainted patch jobs, missing caulking, cigarette burns in the toilet seat... I could go on. If I hadn't been so tired from a day of driving, I'd of demanded a refund and left. There is absolutely no excuse to be renting rooms out in this condition, at any rate. Looking out my window across to the facing unit, several areas of the roof with bald patches, where shingles are missing! I have never seen a Red Roof in such poor condition. I am going to have to rethink about staying at another.
Also, I had to pay a $50 damage deposit which I was told would be cancelled when I checked out only to be told it could take 3-5 business days to process. This is unacceptable. It should only have been authorized - not billed. Besides, I have never been asked for a deposit at other Red Roof's. The only positive things I have to say is that the card reader on the door worked and the shower maintained consistent pressure and temperature, although the bathroom itself was gross. My advice to the owner, stop renting these rooms until they are up to standards.

My Best Red Roof Experience
Red Roof Inn SyracuseQuiet location with great restaurants in walking distance. I highly recommend Sawasdee Thai Cuisine.
I was warmly greeted and my room was super clean and well appointed. Some Red Roof’s I’ve stayed at have felt like a Motel 6, but certainly not this one. I believe the Best Western owns this Red Roof and the influence could be felt - in a positive way.
OK, but not great
Motel 6 Cutler Bay FLThe outside is attractive, with water cascades, and nicely maintained grounds. Stepping inside the lobby, that begins disappear. The room I got was just that, a room. Nothing more, and nothing less. Spartan. However, it was clean. They assigned me a room on the 6th floor, the last floor. Somewhat of a PITA with a dog, even more so the next morning when it was time to check out. The elevator was broken and I had to descend to the first floor carrying three bags of luggage, a cooler, and my dog on a leash. No, I took the dog off the leash. Well, these things happen but maddening that there’s not another elevator. Also, I really didn’t feel safe leaving my room and having to wait a long time for the elevator. I could see sketchy behavior going on. On the more positive side, staff were friendly and the location to highways good.
