If there was a way to give negative bones my pack would. Upon arrival we were given a corner room and told the dog area was by the pool. Exhausted after a long day of travel we were looking forward to relaxing. Upon entering the room the following things caught our attention: walls and baseboards were filthy, lights were flood lights, the floors especially in the bathroom area was rippling and soft as if we could fall through, the toilet tank top did not match and do not fit and the tub was beyond filthy.

So I returned to the front desk and asked for another room at first I was told there was no other room. I asked for a refund, shared I would seek other accommodations and went outside to make some calls. It was late in the evening we were exhausted needless to say both our 14 yr old Morkie (with heart challenges) & our 7 year old Papillon mix (who has seizures) were ready to settle.

The receptionist came outside and said he would give us another room. Once inside it was a step up from the first room however still horrible, (pictures are available as proof). We cuddled on the bed waiting for first light to make our getaway. The dog area that was by the pool -- weeds, no fence, & located by a busy street. Don’t settle my extended pup pack!

The area is stunning! Plenty of room to walk with the pups- enjoy sounds of wild life and if you are lucky a Blue Heron will make their presence known. We stayed 4 nights in a Luxury Tent by one of the ponds; this was our first experience in a tent. Staying warm enough was definitely a challenge. There is a heater however; it didn't provide enough warmth for the two of us and our dogs. Next time we will bring a heated blanket. The area has internet we had no access. Having a hot spot would have provided a solution. Despite the two challenges: my wife and I agree we will stay there again!

Nice dog park for the pups. Front staff provided exceptional service. Unique experience - we stayed in a small room with a king bed; we suggest asking for larger rooms. Parking in the back is very intimate <:O)

Staff was very friendly and responsive! Grass around the property. However, there are low AC units that may be of concern for some dogs when the unit is on. There is a grassy area off the pool that provides enough room for our pups to enjoy. We enjoyed a large room with a King Bed at the end of the hall. The hotel was clean and very quiet. This is our second time at this hotel and we would stay again.

Overall we enjoyed the beautiful setting of the hotel. We were able to eat outside with our pups which was nice. We object to the $40 per dog fee (we accept a charge, however $40 per dog is over the top). We have two small dogs 8 and 15 pounds. Common areas of the hotel welcomed our pups which was also wonderful. All staff was professional, personable and kind.
