Great Place!
Candlewood Suites Medford an IHG HotelThe Candlewood Suites in Medford Oregon is a lovely place to stay. The room was very comfortable, super clean and the staff were very friendly. The room had very nice cooking equipment and Maggie loved it there. One HUGE plus is that they allow you to leave your pet in the room when you need to go out. This is a major plus. Highly recommend this place!
Rip Off
Morro Bay Sandpiper InnOK, I know that places raise the rates on weekends but this place is ridiculous. $189 plus tax plus $25 pet fee plus tax on that...$228.00. Obscene. Rooms are tired, noisy and no pet area to speak of. Motel 6 is nicer, cleaner and WAY less expensive even in a Saturday. Oh, and the non smoking rooms have tables just outside the windows WITH ASHTRAYS. Smokers smoke pours into your room, even with the windows closed. There are better places, less expensive and more accommodating for pets. Avoid this dump.
Good Tacos!
Tortuga Mexican Bar and GrillTortuga is very accommodating to pooches. Seating is on a covered patio and the carnitas tacos were delicious. The tostada was a good choice too. Maggie gives this place “threes paws up!”
Maggie Approves!
Edgewater Inn and SuitesThe Edgewater Inn is a lovely place to stay with your dog. Nice rooms ground level with patio doors that open to a strip of lawn, over looking the river. Big pet area at the end of the building with grass. Lots of play area! The WiFi is not good, and the free breakfast is sub par. The area is quiet and many guests have dogs, so this is a “Maggie Mae of Thatcher” approved place to stay!
Burger Stop!
In-N-Out BurgerThis location has a large SHADE area to eat with your pooch! Important in Redding as it can be blazing hot. Consistent In-N-Out food here.
Outdoor Dining
Wild RiverOutdoor patio in front of the restaurant, however it is quite noisy because of the adjacent highway. Our server was unclear about where to serve customers with canine friends. The half sandwich and minestrone soup is both tasty and generous! The wood fired pizza and salad were equally delicious. Good food and reasonable place for dogs.
