Great State Park with Free Admission
Carolina Beach State ParkThis State Park has multiple trails you can take. We did a mix of 3. My dog loved it with all the smells. Was very nice park with easy trails some are handicap accessible as well. Path ways are kept nice (aside from leaves and pine needles) have to watch your step with some of the roots that come up. Passed multiple other dogs on the trails.
Awesome small coffee/java spot
Happy Hippies Java HutWas very windy when we went to the beach. This place was right at one of the piers and was just perfect. Tried the Mermaid Magic would recommend. Got it in hot since we were in the cold wind. My 10yrs old Boxer was welcomed and they even had treats for dogs! Will definitely come back here if In the area again for the drinks, service and the love and care they showed my girl.
Great Street Restaurant
Beer BarrioMexican style food was delicious. Staff was awesome and very friendly to our dog. Even met the owner (part owner) she was a delight. Very nice and informative on the food and area. Will definitely come back to this restaurant when we are in the area. (We walked here from our hotel Best Western Plus Coastline Inn. About 10-15 min walk about 0.5 mile)
Great Breakfast
Theo’s Pancake HouseThey were dog friendly. We sat outside on their covered deck while it was raining. We stayed dry and was wonderful. My girl loved watching all the customers come and go and we enjoyed listing to the rain, was peacefully quiet. If in the area again we will come back here. We had a Denver omelette and Western omelette.
