We decided to give this place a try and I can’t say that we’ll go back there. It did the job but can’t go much above that. We arrived at night and it already felt sketchy from the moment we pulled up. Less than ideal folks hanging around, overflowing garbage, grungy buildings, some sketchy building out back that is some sort of rooming house, a tractor trailer with its store weirdly open in the parking lot, and people who are clearly living at the hotel in not a good sense (whether in rooms or in cars in the parking lot).
Our room was clean but that’s it. Peeling paint, weird metal bed frame that made odd sounds just getting on and off of the bed. While they allow pets I wouldn’t say they are “pet friendly.” Cleaning staff very obviously scared of animals and would either hide or actively swat at our dog as we left. It was convenient to be only 10 mins from historic downtown Savannah but when the staff at the visitor centre and our tour guide heard where we were staying, their response was “be careful at night.”
The pool was closed. We attempted the continental breakfast the first morning at 8:45am and there were two single muffins left… that’s it. The one day “they cleaned” while we were there, they replaced one towel, took some garbage but not all of it (it was in the garbage can!), and didn’t make the bed…?

We loved our time at this campground!! We stayed in the Clifford cabin. The grounds were very clean and well looked after. We loved all the different park options! Our dog was thoroughly tuckered out!

The hotel from the outside looks dated and it looks like they are in the midst of updating the inside. We had a lovely updated room which was very clean and incredibly spacious which was welcomed for us as we were travelling with our Great Dane. It was lovely to see that there was no carpet, faux leather sofa, and walk in shower - all dog friendly options! The bed was incredibly comfortable and perfect for a good night sleep after driving almost 14 hours. We were not on the first floor as advertised on the app though. It was also a bit of a maze to try and find the dedicated pet relief courtyard.
