Great Location
Hearthstone Elegant Lodge by the RiverFriendly host and a great and quiet location. Pet friendly and there are some areas to walk your dog.
River views and waterfalls
Sahalie & Koosah Falls TrailKoosah waterfall is a very short walk from the parking lot, which in turn is located right of the highway. If you have more time, you can walk to Sahalie Falls, about 800 meter further north on a well maintained trail, or you can do the "Waterfalls Loop" which is about 4,5 km. I highly recommend doing the loop because you will be walking along the river with views of two waterfall from either side of the river.
Off-leash fun
Wanoga Snow Play Area Sno-ParkPlenty of dog friendly trails for snowshoeing or cross country skiing. Bags are provided at the start with trash cans at the beginning as well. You can do some shorter loops or go a bit longer, either way they are all off-leash.
Clean but noisy
Best Western Plus Wine Country Inn & SuitesRoom was clean, location was not ideal but close to the interstate. Breakfast was still in service and was delivered to the room. They have breakfast burritos and sandwiches to choose from as the main items. I only had the breakfast sandwiches but I recommend you do not get those. They are essentially frozen biscuits with fake cheese and a frozen egg. Pet friendly for large dogs.
Great location!
Best Western Plus Burley Inn & Convention CenterThe hotel was conveniently located close to the interstate and the room was clean. More importantly, the bed was very comfortable and my dog was welcomed in. Hotel was still offering breakfast and I felt safe in the way they handled the Covid rules. Would recommend this place to any dog owner.
