Great place for families with furry children
Convict Lake ResortThis is a great resort, me and my family rented two of their cabins, they are fully equipped, remodeled, clean and cozy. We all had a wonderful time including my furry kids. This is the perfect getaway. Staff members are so helpful and friendly. We can’t wait to come back during the summer.
This is Dog’s paradise
Sand Harbor State ParkThe perfect place for a nice walk with your dogs. Has wonderful views and lots of resting benches, easy parking too!
Too pricey for what we got!
Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort Spa and CasinoPlease be aware that each dog is $40 per night, plus $40 resort fee, $22 self park per night or $38 valet parking on top of the room fee!
The room was conveniently located on the first floor with a grassy area and fenced so that was very nice, also they had a dog bed in the room, also a nice touch.
Now, please Dog Owners be considerate. I really appreciate the fact that there are it few hotels who allowed dogs so please don’t give a bad reputation to the pets by not picking up after them. There was lost of poop everywhere outside at the grass area, that was very upsetting because I really want these places to welcome our pets but because of irresponsible owners we have very limited choices.
Outdated Hotel
Shilo Inns Mammoth LakesThis hotel does not worth $300 per night, is more like $100 hotel during high season, is super old, dirty carpets throughout. The only green area for the dogs is outside on the sidewalk. The AC wasn’t even working, good thing we used this hotel to sleep only because is not inviting at all, the only good thing was the location.
Not so pet-friendly anymore
Beach Retreat Lodge at TahoeI stayed in this place 3 times before because is a wonderful location closed to the Lake but mostly because it was pet friendly but now they don’t allow pets at the bar which I understand not all pets are well behaved but I really think they should offer a spot for pet owners to enjoy at the premise. We were willing to stay at the patio having dinner and drinks so we asked for the fire pit and patio heater to be turned On but maintenance never showed up so we end up eating in our room. I think providing pet friendly space should be included because we paid $30 fee for each pet per night plus a resort fee of $28 to be able to stay and enjoy at the resort. Also our room didn’t have a fireplace something that each used to have!
Not impressed at all!
River Ranch Lodge & RestaurantAlthough is pet-friendly hotel the rooms are not very conveniently located, ours was right next to the public restroom so we got a lot of noise which made our dog to bark a lot! Also the room is very outdated, no fridge, no microwave, no heater only a small electric fireplace, no AC just a fan, I really think $200 per night wasn’t worth it!
Beautiful place to enjoy with your furry baby
Donner Memorial State ParkThis park is wonderful either for a day or even for camping!
They have some specific areas for your furry baby to swim, also there is plenty of picnic tables with barbecue grill included.
Plenty of parking and restrooms and the entrance is $10 per car for a day visit!
