For dogs and people, The Confluence is sublime. All the key elements of hospitality flow together here: service, food, scenery, amenities, and comfort. Our room was quiet and relaxing, which we appreciated so much during our long road trip with an anxious dog. And the list of recommended pet walking areas — very thoughtful and valuable info we put to good use. We toured Vermillion Falls Park and strolled along the Mississippi River Greenway, and can’t wait to try the other recommendations on our next visit to the Confluence.

We roll through Indianapolis two or three times a year with our pup and we prefer to stay here. Great service, clean rooms, and an ideal location. Macizo is just a two-minute walk away for terrific Mexican Peruvian cuisine, and you can drive through the nearby Starbucks to fuel up on caffeine before you hit the open road.

What a pleasant surprise for dogs and their people! While we stayed just one night — passing through on an extended road trip — we will definitely return for future visits. Comfortable beds, large rooms, refined fixtures and artwork, delicious breakfast buffet, and more! Do your pet and yourself a favor by booking a room at the Highlander when traveling to Iowa City.
