Great location and staff

The location to ideal to visiting Myrtle Beach. Literally right across the street from the beach. The hotel has 4 floors and all rooms face the beach. The higher the floor the better the view. We stayed on the top floor. There is no elevator but I didn’t mind the climbing of the stairs, it’s good for the legs. Jeff, who I assume is part of the family that owns the place was very pleasant. My 4 pound dog, Lola, was very welcome.

UGH!!!!!

Although the hotel is nice, they allowed an unattended barking dog to be left in the room next to me. This hotel is right off the freeway and it’s a place people who are just passing through for the night to get some shut eye and get on the road again in the morning. I would guess most people just want some shut eye…it’s not a resort. So, after driving for 15 hours, I was tired, it was 8:30 at night. That dog barked non stop for two hours straight and I had to turn up the volume on my tv to drown it out.

I asked the front desk about it and all he said was “It’s a dog friendly hotel.” Maybe they need to make it a policy that barking dogs can’t be left alone. I’m quite sure the people had gone out for dinner or drinks but it made it very unrestful for the the rest of the folks staying there. I even heard someone knocking on their door to see if anyone was in there so no, I wasn’t the only one upset.
