We had the most comfortable, hospitable, dog friendly and fun time. The absolute best location. The owners were kind and accommodating.

It’s a clean room with no frills. Serves its purpose.

Ouray Inn is fantastic. Great location. Affordable. And for all intensive purposes dog “friendly”.
The $30 pet fee is so reasonable. However, I am sharing the pet check-in liability details you sign at check in that I wasn’t expecting.

Dog left alone in room = $50 (so don’t plan to do anything on vacay without your dog.
“Excessive shedding” = $50 (what’s excessive? Isn’t that why the room is pet friendly with a fee?)
Dog not allowed in grilling / picnic area … but can’t be left in the room. So basically we couldn’t use those elements / had to keep the dog in the car.

Don’t bathe your dog in the room - obviously. But the list went on and on as all were associated with fees. Fortunately our dog is our baby and we didn’t intend to do activities without her (grateful for pet friendly patios and good weather as she stayed in her bed in our car when we went to the hot springs and kept our visit to 45 mins). Without a dog, this place is likely 5 bones - but for pet parents traveling with their fur baby, be warned. It truly put a damper on our vacay as we felt incredibly restricted.
