My name is Julie. I have a service dog that performs medical alert. My dog is a black standard poodle named Raven and she is such a joy. When she goes to our local dog park, she likes to think she brings the party with her. Raven loves dogs and cats, treats, naps, and playing outside.

Something to Bark About!

Marietta Community Dog Park

Marietta Community Dog Park is actually a shy dog park and a large dog park that gives the dogs an off-leash green space inside the city limits. There is plenty of free parking with a parking lot right beside the park. They have water and restrooms in the warmer weather. Volunteers keep the waste bag receptacles well stocked and have even purchased a pool for the pooches. Most dog owners are responsible and keep the park clean by using the trash cans and recycling boxes located at each gate. There are thirteen benches to rest and the newest addition to the park is an A frame agility ramp with a resting table. The best part about our dog park is the dogs and people that visit it!
I am disabled and sometimes taking my dog for a walk is hard. The Marietta Community Dog Park is always a fantastic option when I am not feeling up for a walk. My dog loves to meet her friends at the park after work (the busiest time at the dog park is between 5:00 and 8:00 PM so if you and/or your dog are social, you will want to visit the park between those hours). Very few people have attempted to bring an aggressive dog to the dog park, but when they do, others typically ask them to leave. All dog parks have their problems and this park is not perfect, but it is pretty darn close!
