Dog loving hotel but pricey
Kimpton Hotel Arras an IHG HotelGreat hotel for dog owners. A bit pricey but you do receive good service. Our dog loved her gift bag. Great walking area. Four bones only because masks are still required and there are no coffee makers in rooms.
Too small
French Broad River Dog Parkthis dog park is in a great location, but because of the number of dogs in the area, it is too small. We only stayed a short time period as we were afraid for the safety of our dog. We chose to walk her on the nearby path instead.
Very dog friendly
Pack's Tavernnice enclosed heated patio for winter time. we are here twice. spaced out seating on enclosed patio. Decent food.
Excellent stay
The Read HouseStaff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is beautiful and quiet. Rooms are large, so the dog had plenty of room to play. Best place we have stayed with our dog. Walk up the street near the library and there is a nice spot with grass.
It isn’t really dog friendly
Drury Plaza Hotel San Antonio RiverwalkFirst Drury Inn I’ve stayed at that charged a pet fee. They put us near the elevator (even after I requested in writing to be away from elevator). Had a call from front desk five minutes after walking in the room that “people” were complaining about my dog barking. It was 6:00 pm and she let out a few barks of excuses we came into the room. She had been in the car all day and we were trying to put up luggage so we could take her out for a walk. I guess they are dog friendly as long as your dog does not bark at all. I mean not even a few barks! No great green space for walking. Not a great hotel at all for prices and fees charged.
Walkable from hotel
Clasico Kitchen Bartwo nice hotels are close and there are ample places to walk dogs. Restaurant staff are very accommodating and food is decent.
