The Graduate was right on the campus in Columbia and perfect for visiting family/students etc. Bit of a walk to anywhere to the sites/restaurants but not too far if you are a walker. Restaurant and bar in the hotel were good.

Despite some bad reviews on TripAdvisor, we found our pet friendly room at Blackbeards Lodge more than adequate - clean and comfortable. The hosts had turned on the heat in anticipation of our arrival, made sure we knew where to go to eat, and had coffee ready for us when leaving early the next morning. Will definitely be back.

Staff is amazing, upbeat, welcoming. Location is perfect. Breakfast (especially the grits) amazing.

Clean and functional room with two queen beds, a small kitchen and separate bathroom/closet. Despite spring break being in full swing the hotel is a block off the beach and fairly peaceful at night. Dogs are not allowed on the beach. There isn't much of any grassy area off the property so the small pet area between the buildings was essential. Would definitely stay again.
