Amazing trip!

This lake trip was absolutely gorgeous! We did a sunset ride- The boat was very clean and comfortable, with seating in the back, or as we chose, in the front to get a nice breeze! Our boat captain had stories, pictures, and knowledge of the lake to add to the experience- We saw bald eagles, loons- But this view of America in its natural beauty is really special! A fantastic trip for us and our dog!

Beautiful Park

The dog park is in a very well maintained Veteran’s Park. The dog park is a fenced in grassy area. Not enough shade in my opinion, but nice. I was impressed with the fact that there are public restrooms , lots of parking and the park itself was immaculate!

Right On The Beach

We were so pleasantly surprised by how “on the beach” this hotel is! In the area where dog guests can stay, you are literally right on a beautiful stretch of beach- Dogs are allowed before 10am and after 5 when we were there, and we saw lots of other dogs there every morning and evening- The hotel is close to the Pier, tho maybe a little more than walking distance. The room itself was clean, had a kitchenette, but was a little small. Onsite breakfast cafe is convenient but the food itself is nothing special. I would however, definitely recommend this as a low key, affordable, dog friendly beach vacation spot!

Super Cute, Delicious Food!

I think my son and I would give more than 5 stars if we could! The outdoor patio is a really nice environment- brightly colored painting against the old brick and ivy of downtown Portland- He had a plain hot dog but said it was the best hot dog of his life- which is saying a lot! I tried the blueberry chicken sausage and I swear it got more delicious with every bite! spicy dill chips and organic lemonade rounded out his meal, and I tried local honey wine- It was fantastic- My only gripe is having to order up at the counter inside, so if u were alone u would have to leave your dog alone outside- but they do bring your order out to you when it’s ready- We highly recommend to those who love hot dogs- and their dogs!

Fun Time On Water!

We opted for the 1.25 hour Harbor Cruise, as it was our dogs first time on a boat bigger than a canoe- The benches that run along side the boat are not very wide, so I was thankful our dog Cisco was small enough to fit on the seat between my son and I. The billowing horn and Captains announcements over the loud speaker had Cisco very nervous at first, but he eventually relaxed. The captain narrated the tour of Portland Harbor, which is picturesque and it was a beautiful day for a boat ride, I didn’t give 5 stars only because the bench u sit on isn’t very comfortable and the loud speaker was very off putting for the dog- I am really glad we went, and it was a nice way to see Portland Harbor.
