Truly the worst place ever!
Extended Stay America Select Suites Jacksonville NorthThe first thing I notice was a rather large puddle in the middle of the bathroom floor and only two small towels. Then I noticed drips from the bathroom fan - we were on the second floor of four floors - so who knows what was going on in the bathroom above. The bathroom faucet was not clean, looked like old toothpaste and black mold on the wall behind it. The edge on the shelf above was coming apart. In the main room a drawer in the chest was broken and the drawer front was hanging askew. I looked forward to having a kitchenette to make my own coffee in the morning - there were no cooking utensils or dishes - not even the little coffee makers found in most hotels. There was not another room available. If we weren't tired from driving all day we would have left. Other than the bed linens, everything felt so unclean. I didn't want to touch my bare feet to the floor or take a shower. They did give me several more towels.

Great place
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Winchester VAGreat room (clean, spacious) located on first floor near exit and parking (how convenient!). Fabulous hot breakfast (make your own waffles, hot oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits in warmer). Friendly, helpful staff.

Hidden picnic area
Q Barbequefood is good. outdoor seating was hot and sunny even with an umbrella. found a nice little place to spread a blanket and picnic on the other side of parking under trees behind hedges on mowed grass. private! perfect!
