Not great
Quality Inn & Suites Boone - University AreaThe room didn't seem very clean (sheets were all wrinkled and there was a clump of dog hair in the bathroom) and the mattresses were too soft and lumpy, and the bed covers had spots on them. Also there were only 2 lamps and the room was very dark.

Not terrible, but certainly not as pictured!
Wyndham Virginia Beach OceanfrontThe price was higher than implied (it was an "average daily price and we had to pay much more, plus $25+ each day for the pet fee) and we were counting on an outdoor pool, which was not only closed but unsightly (green and moldering, and we had a view of nothing but the pool). Otherwise fine, though. We liked the location, and the beach was nice. It's a long walk to the water, though, so be prepared for that, if you are easily fatigued (the beach has to be a quarter mile wide there.)

Perfect for easy-going dogs, and the food is awesome
Shaka TacoThe porch is a little small, so if your dog gets nervous in tight quarters or reacts to other dogs, you might want to avoid it on a busy summer night, but the atmosphere is great and you can always get their yummy food to go.
