Fine Hotel for Humans, Would Stay at Buffalo Thunder Hilton Next Time

We were going back and forth between staying at this Hilton or the Buffalo Thunder Hilton about 15 mins away from historic plaza, and in hindsight we wish we had picked Buffalo Thunder. While it was nice being located so close to the plaza and restaurants, I think us and our dog would have been more comfortable with the extra space, amenities and safer outdoor areas that Buffalo Thunder has to offer. At the historic plaza Hilton there are no green spaces onsite, so we had to take our dog across the street to go potty at a small skate park that we quickly learned was frequented by homeless people. During an early morning potty break, my husband and dog were approached by an incoherent homeless man, and after that we would all go on potty breaks as a family together to be extra safe. If I had been staying there without my dog I’m sure I would have been satisfied with the experience, but after briefly visiting Buffalo Thunder Hilton on our way out of town we realized we and our dog would have been way happier staying there and just driving 15 mins to visit the plaza and restaurants!

Fabulous Food and Great for Pups

315 Restaurant & Wine Bar

We made an early dinner reservation and were seated on the patio at a perfect corner table with plenty of shade and privacy so our dog could relax (people come up and want to pet her all the time, and she is friendly, but it makes it hard for her to simply chill!) We appreciated that they immediately brought her a bowl of water! The food and service was phenomenal and we will be back!

Set up a fire in courtyard just for us!

The Pink Adobe

We had just arrived after a long drive and unfortunately the weather wasn’t cooperating - very cold and windy. We were pretty hungry and needed to find patio dining for our dog, and when I called The Pink Adobe very kindly let us on the patio and set up a fire pit to keep us warm! We appreciated the accommodation when they could have told us the patio was closed for service!
