Tour
Dreamland Safari ToursWe loved our tour with Nathalie! She was so fun and knowledgeable about the area. Dogs are welcome and their website description of what to expect is accurate. Hike into the canyon “peek a boo” has a couple boulders to get your dog over but was easy for our 50lb dog. Ride is air conditioned and canyon spots are cool for a hot day.
Boomer road trip from MI
The Shacks Dining & Dog Parkatmosphere was great! dog park was large and fairly clean. It was a long road trip so it was nice to allow Boomer to play and run some energy off while also having a few beers. I do wish they had more water accessible to the dogs, only one small drinking water bowl available so it was tough for him to even get to the water when busy. We went up to the bar to get some and you do have to pay for it. I would recommend just bringing your own.
Fun
Bernheim Arboretum & Research ForestGreat walk but definitely agree that early morning would be better. It was extremely warm without much shaded spots if walking from giant to giant. Our high energy pup had a tough time. recommend bringing water bottle for you and your dog for this one. staff was great though! Boomer got a treat from the sweet lady working the gate!
Funky
The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Parkwalked the trails, art throughout was pretty neat. Boomer loved it!
