Great spot, okay food but not as dog friendly
Dogtooth Bar & GrillBased on the prior reviews I was expecting my dog would be welcomed more but we weren’t. We were not offered a bowl of water and when we went to the hostess to inquire about a table we were told we needed to rush our dog out of the entryway and outside immediately. Some of the staff loved dogs and bent down to pet and kiss our dog Emma but our server didn’t really acknowledge her or ask about her. She did get us a water bowl after the third ask once our meal was almost over. The food was okay but our dog was getting antsy with the smell of bacon and burgers so we didn’t spend too much time lingering. So all in all dog friendly but not my first choice for a doggie spot.
Excellent dog beach and dog run
Wildwood Dog Park & BeachWe had the best experience at this dog run and dog friendly beach. There’s a section that’s “coned” off or designated for dogs and it was substantial. The day we went there were lots of dogs and they were all freely enjoying the sun and surf. On the beach itself emma (our dog) had to be leashed which she didn’t love but in the run she could be off leash. Either way she enjoyed being on the beach with the family and exploring a new area. Although all of the signs say that dogs aren’t allowed on the boardwalk, it’s almost impossible to reach the dog beach without going on to the boardwalk. We saw many owners with their dogs of all sizes on the boardwalk at all hours, so we weren’t worried. It seemed to be a vey dog friendly and family oriented area. We loved loved loved it!
Great Location but mediocre hotel
Hotel Cabana Oceanfront/ BoardwalkWe loved the fact that we could bring our dog with us on vacation however, this hotel is in need of some serious updates. The staff who interacted with our dog were kind and nice and no one really bothered us much about her. We liked being right on the boardwalk and being able to walk our dog nearby. Also the hotel is super expensive for no good reason. I understand the location and the Wyndham branding but there are less expensive dog friendly hotels/motel in the area. Availability is difficult but the hotel was pricey.
