Too Loud & Crowded!
FajitavilleThis place is right in beach— BUT it was AWFUL for our dog! The music was blasting loud and even when we tried to find a table off to side there were so many people and kids that were oblivious to him… he almost got stepped on several times while trying to sit or lay next to our table that was up high. The food and service were fine— but the other patrons were obnoxious and rude! We left as fast as we citied before our dog had a nervous breakdown!

Friendly Staff
Tavern on the Bay at Harrison's LandingThey were very accommodating to our dog- gave him a bowl of iced water and put us at a table that was out of the way of foot traffic so our dog could lay down and enjoy the atmosphere of the marina while we are. The food was very good- I recommend the fried shrimp platter! Nice area to walk around after your meal too.

Wonderful Facility
Sea Turtle, Inc.The Facility and Staff are Very Dog Friendly! Had a very nice time wandering the boardwalk from the hospital where they are rehabbing turtles to the educational center to see the permanent residence of the facility. Our dog was curious and some of the turtles were checking him out too. A nice place to spend some time and learn about these beautiful creatures. The ticket price and souvenir $$ all go to the care of the turtles— so money well spent!

Fun recreational area
Padre Island National SeashoreSpent the day enjoying the seashore and swimming with our dog. They have a path down to beach access from parking lot for dogs. Included showers with a special dog bathing area too. Nice bathrooms - vending machines and large garbage cans to keep the beach nice and clean. Lots of other areas you can drive your vehicle right into beach or hike trails. Great recreational area for us all. Only one thing to watch out for are nasty things called sand burs that got into our dogs fur from getting too close to these bushes. They are hard to get out and feel like needles — just awful! Next time we will make sure he keeps his distance from the grasses near paths.

Friendly Accommodations
Candlewood Suites Lake Jackson Clute an IHG HotelThe hotel was very clean and made every effort to make us feel safe during the COVID pandemic- much appreciated. We had an issue with our TV and the front desk clerk came up wearing her mask/gloves and fixed it for us— appreciated the good customer service! The room was very comfortable & our dog had no issues. There was plenty of grassy doggie relief area out back of hotel with bags provided. They could not serve their regular breakfast buffet— but had a well stocked snack room if you needed something— ALSO right next door is a Buc-ees! If you are not from Texas - this is like a huge convenience/retail shop- they have absolutely everything! Very convenient! The hotel itself looked very well maintained. Only gripe I had was the cost for our dog which was considerably higher $$ than most other dog friendly hotels. In fact his cost was almost as much as our room—- Was not impressed with the cost per night.
