My family has a jack russell/border collie mix that we rescued. We plan on taking him to as many places as we can.

Delicious food and beer
Old Chicago Pizza & TaproomVery attentive staff; the manager and waitress brought out water for our dog. The patio was fenced in and private from the access road. The spaghetti pie with alfredo was the best! There's also a wide variety of beer. I wish we lived closer so we could go more often. Or I need to learn how to make that pie.
Welcoming and great location
7 Hills Brewing CompanyWe recently took our chance despite some reviews. Our dog was welcomed on the upper patio where we ate and sampled beer. When the waitress came out with waters for all of us she said "I heard there's a cute dog out here". All of the staff was great and so was the food and beer. I wish we lived closer.
Lots of options
Scorched Earth Brewing CompanyNice outdoor area to bring your pup. Lots of craft beer to choose from. You can bring/order your own food and there are occasional food trucks. They also have events like yoga and trivia nights. We check their website to see what's new.
Dogs no longer allowed inside
Traverse City Whiskey Co.We visited Traverse City in October. Unfortunately, it rained while we were there. We came across this dog friendly location. The outside looked beautiful but we couldn't enjoy it. We went in and ordered our drinks and mentioned we saw that dogs were allowed inside. The 2 bartenders informed us that dogs were no longer allowed indoors due to the stills where the whisky was being made. They were very nice, and we understood. We always ask (or call ahead). We offered to sit as far away as possible which they said was ok. I tried the 2 whisky slushy drinks which were delicious.
Super friendly, they loved our dog, dog treats given by the bartender, we understood the issue, we would love to go back and enjoy the quaint patio. Sorry our visit was so short.
Wish we would have found this place earlier
The Filling Station MicrobreweryOur visit was in October on a windy, rainy day. The patio was covered and had heaters to keep us comfy. There were multiple dogs there which made us feel welcome. If your dog is leary of other dogs, know that it gets busy and another dog may be seated next to you. Our dog made quick friends with the dog seated by us. Yes, we were told he had to stay on the ground so we brought out his blanket and a bully sticky to keep him occupied. He was warm and content staying there. We had the apple crisp dessert and it was delicious. If we wouldn't have just eaten, we would have tried the pizza. It smelled and looked delicious. The beer and ciders were excellent. The flights are on little train trays and the tappers are railroad spikes, perfect for their location and name. The King's Line cider was my favorite and left with a growler of it. I wish we would have gone here earlier in our getaway.
October getaway
Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Traverse CityNice hotel on the east side of Traverse City. We chose the room with jacuzzi and fireplace. It was very relaxing to come back to. Finley enjoyed the fireplace since it was rainy and windy during our visit. The bed was comfortable, pillows were plentiful, good water pressure in the shower, spacious room. We were on the 3rd floor and could see the water from our window. Breakfast was grab and go. There isn't a lot of green space for dogs but there is a trail behind the hotel. They have a jar of dog treats in the lobby. Walking distance to Hopscotch Brick Oven and Taproom where dogs are welcome on the patio. I would stay here again.
Cute patio
Craftsman Table & TapJake, our server brought our dog a bowl of water right away. The tables all had umbrellas and we had plenty of shade on the hot day. The service was great, the beer selection was plentiful. There is a happy hour. Get the cheese curds!! Wish we lived closer than 2 hours away.
Nice for the price
Comfort Suites Madison WestThe hotel is located in a nice business district. The bed was comfortable, pillows were ok. It's not the most updated place. There was plenty of grass for our dog to do his business. There are sidewalks along the front if you want to go for a longer walk. Social hour on certain days offer $1 beer, seltzer, and wine options. Breakfast was nice: scrambled eggs, ham, and sausage along with waffle making station, breads, cereal, yogurt, etc. The staff was friendly. We stayed in a jacuzzi room which was relaxing. The dog fee was only $15 which is hard to find nowadays.
Good burgers & friendly staff
The Assembly American Bar & CafeAll of the staff was excited to see us and our dog, Finley. They brought a bowl of water for him and everyone asked to pet him. The pretzel with beer cheese was a good starter followed by the parmesan burger. There are lots of outdoor tables, some under umbrellas and others under a roof which is a nice choice to have.
Highly recommend
Arbors at Island Landing Hotel & SuitesLoved our stay here! Every employee was friendly and helpful. They were happy to see our puppy and gave him lots of love and treats. Plenty of grass for the dog to do his business and play. Our puppy enjoyed walking along the river. Rocking chairs on the balconies and around the property. We walked to The Island and plenty of other places. The whole town is very dog friendly.
Nice location
Sheraton Louisville Riverside HotelOur dog found the foil seal to a peanut butter container under the chair in our room. There was dog pee in the lobby and near the elevators. The owner of the dog should have told the front desk so they could have cleaned it. If you want to walk along the river, it's a steep hill so be careful. The bed was comfy. The price was ok. There are 2 restaurants connected to the building. Honestly, I would stay here again. I'd just look the room over. I can't blame the hotel for the pee; dog owners need to be responsible.
