Not impressed

There is a 'No Pets' sign on the lobby door. This led to me standing at the opening of the lobby wondering what to do with my dog as I was not willing to leave her in the car when it was 90+ degrees outside and I was a solo traveler. I was ignored by 2 employees (1 male and 1 female) when eventually one of them noticed me as I was trying to get their attention for several minutes and told me my dog and I could go in. During check-in the employee tried to take the dog policy from me before I had fully read and signed it and gave minimal instructions to my room. The older gentleman who I spoke with when I checked in was rude to me as well as the younger gentleman who eventually helped me as well.

Once I got to my room I looked for housekeeping to ask about anything I needed to put on my door to notify them of a pet inside. I found the housekeeper’s cart and phone but no housekeeper. I then asked another staff I had found and their response was that they didn’t know if I needed a sign and would need to ask housekeeping. I then saw housekeeping going on what appeared to be a smoke break. The room was serviceable and the view was good. I can overlook a lot but not bad customer service. Shoutout to Jill from BringFido who talked to off the cliff of leaving. I spoke with the manager after my stay and informed him of all of the above and my room was refunded to me.

Could have been better

The dog section we were put in appeared to be the oldest and least updated part of the building. The hallway smelled like urine and the elevator continuously spelled like marijuana. There were two larger dogs on our floor that barked continuously. Breakfast was minimal.
